i'm also interested to buy Singapore stocks from here. I have an account with rhbinvest but they told me i need to wait till 1Q 2009 before they offer buying Singapore stocks through them.
I found a site to open an account to buy stocks. http://www.cdp.com.sg/account/create_individual.html I wonder if there's a better and easier way? |

Go to any brokerage in Singapore, a Malaysian can easily open a trading account. You can then trade via the net while being physically in Malaysia. No problems at all !

U may want to consider CIMB's online share trading system. U need to open an account with them and add a cross border trading account. With that, u can trade in stocks listed in HK, S'pore, US. Check it out at http://www.itradecimb.com

Heard it from friend that it's a good time to do so, so want to check it out So.. what's so good about Singapore Airlines? Are they much better than others especially during bad economic times like this? Most transportation including all major airlines have pretty bad earnings last year and this coming year. They just made another announcement of major flight cuts to US, Europe and Asia for this coming year.. because of major reduction in business and leisure travel. They have no fear in cutting cost, staff.... Sound cruel but I don't mind them do that if I am going to invest in them, not work with them. |

Because this is a good stock that is being sold at a discount now due to the environment. And 'when the tide rises again, this ship (SIA) is sure to rise with the tide'. Or at least, this perception is very strong !!!But, what make SIA a BUY at this time? |

QUOTE(htt @ Jan 29 2009, 02:35 PM) Some might want to have some proxy in airline business to diversify mah, this should be better than M_S I think That M company , one golden vote is greater than 51% sharing holding in the co.never happens in other part of the world. If this your call to buy, I think it is pretty poor on your stock analysis. Are you trading or investing? short term, long term? |

3Q'FY09 FS out on 10.02.09 if not mistaken. Expect for losses from fuel hedging facilities like others. Tempting... Attached File(s)
