Made some changes to the blog design. Really spaced it out better. Main body a lot more organised now with the same sized screenshots.

Slow day for gaming news...obviously with the press closed for holidays and all that. Managed to find an interesting article about Mirror's Edge. It is an interesting take on gaming and seeing things from a different perspective...as well as how expectations can taint our experiences with games...

It is not a Malaysian centric focus...I think there are many sites and blogs that focus on competitive games in Malaysia(read DoTA)...I dont know if they do a good job...But I dont want to follow that...I want to bring good quality news, reviews, and indie game reviews that I think is cool. this blog does not OOZE gameness.. the BG looked like old linoleum at a diner or something
while i like the content i dont quite like the layout now. any chance of updating the look TS? on a side note regarding the content. i can get the same news form Kotaku or N4g.. i think to make your content unique you need to put a malaysian spin on it better yet create a custom article like " top ten game with malaysia in it" or " funniest pirated game cover ever" i am giving you some lulz idea here my friend. this way your blog will have the uniqueness instead of just another kotaku or N4G clone i hope you wont take this the wrong way. i am not beating you down or anything.. i just think i have to be honest about my opinions best of luck on the blog. But I think I'm on the right track...I have write ups about indie games...Games that I actually spend time playing. Free games...Who doesn't love free games I also have my rant articles(or open topics). These are the original content I have right now.I know it may not be as visible right now...thats were I think I still need to figure out a way of making the link to the original content more visible...The temp work around is a mouse over javascript that describes the buttons. Still haven't got around to doing that  Oh and I also may have news stuff that you may not always get from the big sites because...I also get sources from fan base forums and also European sites(sites that are non english)...Of course most of the time the big games like SC2 and DoW2 of course they will feature it...Something I can't avoid. I have to admit I'm a little busy with all the content. I have to complete a write up about the next indie game I'm featuring...and have to get around to play test Shin Megami Tensei Online more and write an Impression... But thanks on reminding me I still need to work on the design of the blog The localised content are stuff that I'm considering... |

Yeah I'm a little worried by it...I was a fan of the original Codename Panzers: Phase One...The developers that were working on Cold War(the guys that made the series) got axed...development duties was taken over by another company(the current one)...I've seen a video demo of it running late last year...and it ran like s**t...The german preview claims the developers have worked on optimising the engine...I only have their word for it... But if it is any good as Phase One, it will be great...especially with modern tanks...so I'm crossing my finger.. Another game I'm a little worried about is Disciples 3..the problem with these eastern European developers is that they aren't that consistent with quality...they may make a sleeper hit one time...then the next, they make a dud |

The account and game is tied to the email you register it first time. In other words to resell you have to give the email and password(email) for them to play on the same account. You can't make a new account.Not much idea as well lol. Any possible way to untie it? Should have made a specific hotmail account for spore... |

About the Spore email changing thingy
People said that changing the master EA account email at EA site would eventually change the email for it. I can't test it though since I've already removed the game from my comp but I think I could still test it through logging in at the sporepedia at spore webpage? This is a well produced flash game. The audio is excellent. It might take a while to load, but it's worth it. Zombies have over run the city and you need to drive out of it.
Road of The Dead - Escape the quarantine There's some neat ideas here, but there is a flaw. Racing game fans might want to keep an eye on this game. Lots of updates. But these are the major ones...
Proun Review. Racing using balls and optical illusions Proun Review Terraria Review. 2D Minecraft... but with so much more. Emphasis on combat and loot drops. Terraria Review Alice: Madness Returns Review. The calssia American McGee game returns, but is sticking to the same old formulae of its predecessor makes it tired? Allice: Madness Returns Review Mount & Blade With Fire And Sword review. M&B with guns. Also cheaper price point. Mount & Blade With Fire And Sword Sengoku Preview. Paradox makes a character driven strategy game based on Japanese history. Lots of potential here. Sengoku Preview The 2 biggest news recently Counter Strike: Global Offensive Announced! Okay I've been rather busy. We've got new partners and a bunch of things planned. Also we're coming up to our 3 year anniversary since the blog went up. I'm planning for some freebies for that. Here are the three big updates:

Okay 2012 has been a good year. Facebook page got plenty of likes.
But now... Malaysian Gamer 2.0. Self hosted and looking spiffy. I'm very excited at the new possibilities opened on the new platform. Malaysian Gamer has gone through a redesign. Basically I've gone back to the roots of the blog. I wanted to keep things simple and remove all the unnecessary stuff. I have a new series of articles where I share my gaming moments.

I'm quitting blogging. Seriously. Ok not so serious. But basically I'm changing my direction. Malaysian Gamer will now be focused on videos. Facebook and YouTube will be our main content publishing platform. The reason is simple. Blogs are no longer the influential medium they used to be. good idea but this is nothing more than news channel that ign or gamespot already doing.
You need to add personality into this kind of "blog". Plus blogging is like so 2013. People already go for vlogging. Do something like a daily news thingie with someone on it like daily fix or gamespot news. I know it is not easy but aim for something like this. I have subscribed to support. Hope you can improve. |

bro...your game reviews are too long. Maybe you should split your review and gameplay footage to separate videos. Cause I think the younger generations lack attention span. They will find it boring if a game review is too long. Try to limit a game review to 5 minutes. Gameplay is a different thing as it shows the game being played. I must comment you do have a lot of knowledge about gaming industry and give a lot of insights into a game and it's developer and so on. Good job and keep it up.

I used to do just that with What Is videos. But I decided to do first impressions because I wanted the game to do the talking as much as me. TB (Total Biscuit) does pretty long videos too. I put my max to 30 minutes with some exceptions.But I think it is a good idea to perhaps also have a TLDR version or condensed version too. Definitely something I can think about. Part 8 and 9 of my Stellaris Space Cat Let's Play is up and I nearly lost. I wasn't prepared for war. So I rethought my plans and prepared my fleets to defend our borders. And then I found new friends that hated my enemy. We had a common enemy. My objective from now on is to build an alliance with these friends. Check out my videos below...

Wow, Stellaris and Hearts of Iron IV!
I bought them but haven't gotten into playing them  Too busy coding and blogging. =.=How do you find them compared to say, CKII and EUIV? |

HOI4 is perhaps the most approachable version of the HOI games yet... but that doesn't mean it's easy to get into. To me the challenge is in understanding the concept of production and how supplies flow... logistics. I think battleplans are such an inspired inclusion, they totally by its own have turned HoI from a micromanagement nightmare, into a game of grand epic war maneuvers. Brilliant... but you need to commit to learning it a bit. Not as terrible as HoI 3... which I called in my Hoi 4 video as a' Bureaucracy Simulator'. On another note... apparently both these games have been doing rather well for Paradox. Perhaps better than anything else they have produced. PS: But seriously though. Do't over analyse it. The galaxy gets a bit smaller with many more alien civilizations surrounding me. Need to up my game. Also beginning to see the seams of Stellaris. Basically, the game needs more content mid game. It's been said before I know, but I experience it in this playthrough. So much so I was tempted to start a war just to have something exciting happen. I decided against it as it would be suicide. Probably will record my thoughts end of this week.

Started a new let's play series on Total War: WARHAMMER. I play the newly released Call of the Beastmen DLC which has its own mini campaign. So if you're wondering whether this DLC might be something you might want to get, check out my videos.
