Last time I knew this company still produce CRT tube (but that 7 years ago)
**got 2 frens work there, but cabut after 2months. they said the working environment and opportunity very bad**

Now...not sure(maybe already got big improvement)

Really that bad oh? During interview the interviewers said got many things to learn la...tis la...tat la..but not sure now

Can't advise U coz the info I got last time can't apply now (coz lapse 7 years ago)

Since U want to know what happen last 7 years ago....here is the info I got from them.

1. Stay in hostel got curfew (last time they stay there to save $$$)
2. Everything from uniform until kitchen utensil have to pay (no FOC)
3. Stingy knowlegde (my fren's boss is old old ah pek...don't want to teach anything)

But since 7 years already.....alot of things can change already

So...it is up to U

yeah...they said provide free hostel...curfew may b becoz of it's located inside the company compound.
These old ah pek r like tat....tats y i like company tat will provide traning for their staff...improve them...rather than just on-the-job training...if ur senior dislike u then habis la won't teach u much...

Well, you're lucky then since i know 2 friends working there and one recently went for an interview. The guy who went for the interview said the whole interview was conducted in mandarin and they even had a mandarin writing test

Another friend who just joined told my another friend that u don't have to speak english at all there, mandarin is more than enough.

Another friend who has been there for 15 yrs said the company is not good and he is looking for other jobs.

After working 15yrs want to get out....I thought the longer anyone working for single company....the loyalty already been in that company. If die also die together with the company.(means if the company collapse...collapse together)

If want to get out after 15yrs....surely something is very big wrong with the company

yeah...i did the test too. But the guys interview me in English. Mandarin is important since they r Taiwan company...they said their report oso mandarin writing...

Now economy very bad. Manufacturing sector hitting very bad.
If get service sector better go to that sector 1st (coz still have job for Y2009 but Y2010 mayb bad)

Manufacturing sector look uncertainity for Y2009

...unlucky graduated tis time...

Me also last time same but not as bad as now

Anyone grad end of Y2008 & Y2009 will be one hell trouble getting jobs.

However if I got offer in Oil&Gas sector even salary abit low....I'll go for that as it pay good when economy go back up + OIL price up

Now production drop + overstaff already

luckily no stop production this year (Some MNC already kena)

but next year can't gurantee.

Anyway....now I won't recommend anyone to join my company coz it will be underpay+promotion very-very long time (I just know it 2 days ago that I still underpay after working for 7++ years )

Now is the employer market. Just very bad luck u grad during the market fall. If the market fall next year maybe U still hv some choice.

learning mayb limited, but if u r application engineer in ChungHwa, should have many chances to travel

nothing much to learn is something not good...

Application engineer doing what? Can travel a lot that's good!
