Got another 2 tanks, 1 for syrian (Brown) and another for RC (Golden). Seems that they like to use hay as their hiding place and use it to build some sort of nest.

I think the noise is more from the fountain pond for my guppies. smile.gif

Can mix but only a quarter pack of Harry Hamster with one whole packet of Habitrail do not make a big different as too little Harry Hamster in it and can't really see. I already tried the dry smoothie before this, really good and convenient. All my hammies love it, even my very choosy fat tailed gerbil who don't really eat anything also love the dry smoothie. That's why today I get 4 packets at one shot. Wanna give one for my cousin who currently staying in Ipoh to try also. If you want it, you gotta pre-order first, don't have ready stock in shop yet.

oh...tq nezu...

hmm...just now i went to few petshops to have a look at hamsters...all the black banded are gone..buhuhu...
i took some photos....

i was told that...to differentiate mink and dove...have to look at the presence of cream eye rings... dove doesnt hav those..
but it was hard for me to check on these hamster whether or not they hav cream eyerings or not...

the 1st petshop has long haired mink/dove which is 1month plus...quite small in size...

the 2nd shop has dove/mink...longer and fatter than the 1st shop...the worker said they are 2months old...
but to me the look older than that [then again, im not that experieced in estimating hamster's age]
the pic i attached here is the 2nd shop

IF i am to buy a new hamster....which should i buy le?

the one at the right...got cream eye ring or not?

how about these....?

Hamsters like to dig around and they also like to push bedding to one place to make that corner like a nest for them, that's why they 'sweep sweep' it away. Sometimes if they feel hot, they also will sweep away some bedding and sleep directly on the floor. I don't think color bedding will make any different for the sweeping problem. On top of that, anything extra-ordinary not so recommended as coloring usually not good for hamsters, so no need to risk their health as they will hide some bedding in their pouch and move the bedding somewhere else. Just use non pine bedding, corncobs or breeder celct or some recycle paper bedding which is natural color is good enough for them.
