The cage is a zoozone... but dono zoozone1 or zoozone2... i think shud be zoozone1..

Hagen already stop produce. Now those selling in market are Habitrail Zoozone.

Most of the pet shop also got, zoozone1 is rm140, zoozone2 rm190+..

syrian.i tot syrian shud be kinda tame...rarely bite wan oh..

is it.... i heard syrian bite people very pain wan eh.... sure bleed lot...

Ya, i also agree Hagen quality better than Habitrail.. Habitrail the plastic like very crispy..

that is Habitrail zoozone1. bought it in PLC... price is RM120+
the Zoozone 2 in PLC is RM196 and in pets family (klang) is RM148.

gosh! yeah...i know that aspen is the best wood beddings...but where to get?
have you seen anywhere aspen bedding?
i've been looking for carefresh and aspen...if really didn't get then i'll opt for BC or B2N.

if you're afraid to handle her by your hands then the best way for now is by using gloves...when she's used to handling then you can handle her without the gloves.

erm, yeah...dad asked me to secure the top with with wire mesh...i'll be doing it soon. for now there aren't toys which are high enough for him to climb...but i surely will affix the wire mesh thing.

2ft tank the only good one for syrian. You can try to DIY toyogo box also for the enclosure.

the bigger the better. depends on how big is your bin cage if you want to use it.

how long have u own this hamster? hmm maybe she is not really used to environment...how old is she?

Bcos they r nocturnal so they prefer to come out at night cos less predator when in the wild.I think is normal for her to do dat.

if u just got this hamster, i think u better give her time to get use to you...try calling her name and giving her treats whenever she's awake (eventho she's in her hideout)... then u pandai2 lure her out la heheh... maybe she will get used to the time u give her treats...and will go out from her hideout and wait for ur attention ..

and i agree that removing her hideout will only stress her out...

From what I've learn from a sifu to make my syrians braver, take out everything especially hideout and let them be in the tank. You can put your hand inside to let it get used to your smell, or your can put your head inside the tank when you talk to it so that it can recognize your voice and won't afraid of noise. My hamster tamer after I do this for 1 week. But if your hamster is a new comer, let it be alone for about 3-5 days before start taming to avoid stress it out. Hope this will help.
