Is the hamster shampoo spray safe for use on the hamster? What brand are you using? Got picture to show?

We are currently using Oxyfresh diluted with water and spray on them to deodorize the smell on their fur. Can use for cleaning the tanks too.
*
i think most of the brand are safe for hamster. as long it stated it is to be used to clean hamster, get rid of ticks n mites, remove odor, stains, and does not cause side-effect even spray on hammie eyes n nose. btw im using this \/ \/

for wat i have read in most researchs, although i have not seen it before. hamster does have period(or maybe similar), once 4 days, it happens as when the hamster is on heat(1st day), it will emit a musky odor tat will attracts adult males(best to mate at this time). normally in the evening. at the last day(4th day), it then omit a thick white mucous from their vagina and end a heat cycle. so for breeder, if u manage to see the mucous today, then the next day evening is the best moment to breed it ^^. but most cases cant notice, so try ur luck by placing them together everyday XD provided they do not fight.

i didnt know there is so much to know if want to own a hamster

btw, how much does it cost to own a normal hamster?
*
i think u can get cheaper price if u buy from home breeder (online).
syrians rm5-10, ww rm10-15, robo rm15-20, rc not sure.
or u can adopt one for free at the adoption site of lowyat.=)

but the main thing to have is the cage, water bottle, wheel and the food. =)

if ur hamster is pregnant, it shld not come into season again 4 days later, - her abdomen will swell (no, she's not getting fat), and her nipples will start to become more pronounced. after tat she will tend to build nest itself by searching for suitable material in the cage. and she will become more territorial.

i think 2 weeks is still too young..coz they still need mom milk..

mayb u can try to put them in daddy cage for about 5 minutes like that under ur guard, afraid daddy bully the pups..and take out again.so daddy can know children smell..when the baby weaned..easy to introduce male baby to daddy..n chances of fight to occur is less since they hv family relationship and been introduce already..

i think it may work..coz i've done that to my robo too...but now they all RIP dy..huhuhu..

the pups can start having solid food i think..but small parts only n the food is not so keras..coz robo pup teeth is small..or let say u hv some barley/kibbles..soak in water for a while..then give to robo pups..

hi i really do need help. i have this male dwarf hamster. my friend gave it to me when this male kept on harassing, biting the other females to mate. the females rejected him and ended up bleeding bcos of the bites. i took him and i couldnt stand seeing him so lonely. i went and bought another dwarf female and put them together and right away this desperate guy started repeating the same thing and the female squeak alot trying to push him away. any idea why is this going on? any suggestion what i should do? i would prefer to keep them together. or is this actually normal?

What dwarf hamster you got? RC and WW are solitary hamsters. Robos can stay together from young siblings. Also apply for WW if from young siblings. But if you try to put different age gap and different batch hamsters into a tank, there surely will be fights.

Hamsters are territorial creatures. You put the female into the male tank? If you did that then means the female is invading the male's territory. He will fight off the intruder or mate if it is female. But I think most probably the female is too young, that could be one of the reasons why she rejected him in the first place.

Also they are not human being so they don't have feelings of being lonely. You're the one feeling lonely for the hamster being by itself. Please do the humane thing and separate the male and the female into different tanks/cages.

sorry no choice. ww has to be raised together since young in order to let them live together. if u wana mate him, get an adult female(4-6month old) wic is on heat, and put both ur male and de female into a neutral territory for about half an hour to try mating (separate them immediately if fight).

ya...no choice.... but if wan to breed, better think beforehand... there's a lot of things that should be taken into consideration...

if possible read, and equipt ourselves with knowledge, if already ready...then only breed...
rmber we have to be responsible to the pups as well....have to think of their future home if we can't keep all of them...

think before we breed them he he he
