Just throw them in a bucket with 3/4 filled water and then Watch them. They are natural Swimmer...

Oh Ya make sure you use hair dryer to 'cool' them off.
*
dont drown ur hamster pls

they are not natural swimmers... they float because of their thick fur trapping the air inside helping their buoyancy... once their fur fully wet, they will sink...

A few questions..

1. Is it best to tame hamsters one hamster at a time..Like I have two and I should be focusing on one hamster first before taming another one?

2. Would hamsters immediately play with their new wheel or it takes time for them to get used to it? Finally bought an eight inch wheel..But instead of running on it..They climb to the top of the wheel..haha..If still dont play then I very lazy to get another wheel lea..

Just found out that the hamsters my dad's frend gave is around 4 months..Iz it hard to tame at 4 months..Not easy lea

1. u can tame both hamster simultaneously... but of coz, wash ur hand when switching to another hamster... let ur hammy recognize ur smell, not the other hamster smell...

2. they take time to discover and get familiar wif it... first few days will notice they run kinda slow... later on can see them sprint on the wheel...

Sry to hear dat.. sad.gif
Is it bcos of obese?Cos she look kinda fat.
*
possible... previously she is very fat... i jz feed her normal hamster mix food sold in jusco and normal petshop... she eats but refuses to exercise... jz sleep day and nite... doh.gif

last few months she did start to exercise and got slimmer...

QUOTE(odd_mochi @ Jul 12 2009, 02:08 PM)
did she had any injury/fall before? appetite ok? how old is shE?

how long have u own this hamster? hmm maybe she is not really used to environment...how old is she?
*
nope no injury or fall... a couple of days ago i was busy working didnt pay attention to her... but i did make sure she gets food and drink everyday...
if her death is due to external injury or fall, i think i know who i need to question... my friend stayed in my house few days ago, but not sure he got go kacau her or not...

i got her during july 2008... i think dat time also 1-2 months old already.... means her age is around 1 year plus....

Those hamster mix food is not healthy for them. The hamster food sold in hypermarket usually contains lots of kuaci and corn.Try feed ur hamster better food like Vitakraft High Premium as stated in the 1st page. smile.gif
Although currently i'm feeding my hamster Vitakraft Premium, but it still contain lots of kuaci and corn so i hav to pick them up when filing her food bowl.Dats y Vitakraft High Premium is better smile.gif
And dun forget treats icon_idea.gif
