hi, is anyone know any of the software (freeware, if possible) that can perform benchmark on removable disk like pendrive and memory card for performance and speed test (Tx/Rx). i found that sisoft sandra having that feature but the software is big and not free. i wonder if there's a lite and standalone software, possible for freeware that can do this job.
thanks...

HD Speed = no read/write benchmark. HD Tune = free version not include write test. anyway, thanks to both of you. still looking for other software that can do read and write benchmark for usb disk and other removable media. Added on December 18, 2008, 2:15 pmi've found this and give it a try and look ok : Check Flash v1.06 http://mikelab.kiev.ua/index_en.php?page=P...AMS/programs_enjust curious if the result is accurate as i don't have any benchmark software installed in my computer. maybe someone can try it and give a comment. Google for Iometer. It's freeware, opensource and is one of the benchmark use by disk drive industry itself.

If you perform benchmark on flashdisk type of thumdrive, only do the read part, do not do the write.

QUOTE(convivencia @ Dec 19 2008, 08:56 AM) If you perform benchmark on flashdisk type of thumdrive, only do the read part, do not do the write. Why only do the read part? For me, when I benchmark my USB drives, its not the read or write part that matters to me. It's the random access rates that truely matter to me.
