MMU got MIA recognition. Therefore, u can be a QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT in Malaysia after u have 3 years relevant experience. Unlike UTAR, SEGI etc, u still need to take MIA / ACCA or other professional qualification exam in order to get QUALIFIED. |

QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Jan 24 2009, 01:19 AM) yes, must agree... FYI, I am Inti Accounting Graduate. I am currently studying ACCA on part time basis.MMU's MIA or whatever is academic... ACCA is professional... if u dun understand please look out for it.. jsut like engineerimng... a BEng n CEng in msian context is diff.. KTAR produces 70% of all the accountants in msia 10 years back... now sunway is the best because i wouldnt say their lecturers are d best or what, because i dont take their course, but there's something they must be doing right since their students are doing so well... and of course since most students are able to pay their fees, means they are quite well off, usually these students come from better family n thus do better... if u wanna mix with a more condusive grouop of ppl.. go sunway I just hate the fact that I pay so much for my Degree course (Inti) & I still need to study ACCA in order to get qualified ! And working & studying at the same time, is tough ! Way too tough for me... So, if u do not plan to work outside Malaysia. A public universities / MMU Accounting Degree will lead u to become MIA member & a qualified Accountant. FYI, a few of seniors have give up their ACCA / CIMA title & just retain their MIA membership since it is much cheaper & certainly they don't plan to go for oversea in the forseeable future. |

QUOTE(samliang @ Jan 24 2009, 05:44 PM) Another thing about ACCA, is NOT EASY to PASS especially in the Professional Stage...If u are a good & hardworking student, go for it ! If otherwise, MMU / Public Universities Accounting Degree will still Lead to the path of Qualified Accountant. No point choosing a good qualification if u know that u can't get it ! |

QUOTE(killingspree @ Jan 30 2009, 09:26 AM) for your info, to be entitle for Chartered ACCOUNTANT u need to be a member of MIA . Not ACCA, ACCA is for certified public accountant....hope u get the idea, Wrong statement ...still the professional body is not compulsary for accounting... Unless of course, u wan to be recognize... After u gain ACCA membership, you can apply for MIA membership . ACCA is recognised under MIA. |
