Resident Evil Degeneration



I just saw this on DVD and wow! I cant believe nobody opened this topic here

It was an AWESOME Resident Evil movie, awesomer than the live action crap from Paul Anderson. The plot made sense, familiar characters are there (REAL FAMILIAR, NOT SOME CRAPPY ONES)





Granted, the CGI is not on par with Advent Children or Sprits Within, but the familiar pixel modelling really brought that 'gamemovie' element to live. There were times I fell like picking up a controller after certain scenes in the movie

Personally, I think this is the best gamemovie I have seen after Advent Children. Please do discuss, and leave out the spoilers.

CGI really not awesome, but that is the novelty of the thing. Really brings out the GAMEness of the movie. It should look like a game IMO, only a bit preetierlah. Just imagine inf Advent Children used FF7 graphics for movies..

I really like how they still include the sound of the shell dropping when Leon shoots. Classic.

hope Capcom will make RE:D game too

Story so bad.Make me bored after 30 minutes watching.

The "One Eyed Monster" of the G-Virus really reminds me of Resident Evil 2 back in 1997, if you have played it 11 years ago on PSX, considering you're not underaged that time.

it's the Tyrant from RE2. the G-Virus induced mutation that made it that way.

i just watched it yesterday too. my verdict, this is how a Resident Evil movie should be. everything is in there including the insiders joke (to those ppl who played the game religiously).

too bad there's no Wesker. would love to see how he can manipulate the situation.

9 out of 10 from me.

inhuman characters(claire and leon dont get hit at all! and they both have inhuman accuracy when shooting )

Its a movie.. =.='' what is so human about superman? you cannot compare movies with reality.. it never works that way

he wants to see a movie where "you are dead" appears on screen, after that shows gamer go to main menu , load from save......

a lot of movies out there also got inhuman characters la..
eg. Die Hard series, Indiana Jones series, Wanted.

Commonlah, under the controls of the directors leon and claire are supposed to be godlike. Just like the game cutscenes unless if its a game over scene.

Anyway on this, this is how RE movie should make, not hollywoodized one. I cant forgive how they turned claire redfield in re 3 movie into a mesiah.

i see the people who actually enjoy this movie is those who played it from the first instalment.

The plot really reminds me of Resident Evil 2's storyline. Awesome.

damn I am feeling nostalgic, wish they could bring the NTSC UC Resident Evil2 to PSN, mine is japanese but playing a PS1 game in PS3 is NASTY.

Im a fan of RE,this movie rocks.

actually after the "terminal" incident the story can go 2 ways..

1. pure RE style..
2. Dead Rising style..(only this time it's in the airport)

kinda cool tho since both games are from Capcom.

The first few minutes of the movie, I was like, "Whats this? Balloon people?". They've should do a better job on the side characters~

flawed characters make a movie more interesting.
seeing these two not even have a scratch on them from so many zombie attacks is ridiculous
Leon's strength is another further exaggerated area.(hold angela and hang by one leg without support? come on la )

claire and leon dont get hit AT ALL! WTF?

even in dead space downfall, the characters are more human

unlike dead space downfall,(where anyone can get attacked and killed) you wont have to worry about leon or claire in this movie cos they wont even get scratched by the zombies

i find it somewhat ironic that claire gets injured by a shattered glass instead
