ACER is a giant company that ranks 2nd in the world and already bought four major companies

1. Gateway base in US
2. Packard Bell base in UK
3. Eten base in Taiwan but famous in Russia(58% market share) glofiish pda
4. e-machines base in US

What makes this 4 big companies in common?

So ACER will produce PDA?

I mean not the old nXXX. New generation PDA

yeah.. is time for Acer to launch a PDA.. Show other PDA brand how a good PDA come with low price ^__^

affordable PDA's ? wow thats what they ought to be called if Acer produce any ...

if the price range USD 200 to USD 400?

how about quality?

If you read Eten history and its product range, you'll be amazed.

The 1st PDA in the world which has GPS and 1st in the world which has dual simcard and dual standby for PDA windows mobile.

really, it will be wow to me...

And the prices is very reasonable compare to HTC, you can get VGA screen PDA with Eten by 1K.

eten pdas only design not good. but u can get them at very low price and the specs are still OK

very impressive.
now we wait for it to roll out

afaik, Eten share almost 58% pda market in russian, coz they using alot GPS

dual sim seems usefull
dunno bout the dual face though

The dual face is one with full touch screen and the another side is 2'8 inch screen with Keypad.

It's target mostly for consumer who likes to SMS and Do alot of emails.

but eten PDA seem lag a lot and easily get hang.
i just bought eten x610, really lag!!!

you mean lag by???

did you open a lot of apps at once??
did you completely closed off the programs/apps??
you store a lot of data in ur storage card(will caused lag/slowdown when accessing ur storage card).
free up rams after heavy usage
do a soft reset once a day or every 1-2days. (its normal)

it lag when i open some complicated program such as mapking, internet explorer, and msn.
i make sure that i had close all the apps.
everytime after use, i will close all program with task manager, n i m sure that my ram is free.
i buy this PDA from lelong.com, did any fake/non-original PDA sell? i worry wat i get is not original bcoz it cheaper than usual (only RM980 where shop selling at RM1099)
ya, every time after i reset it will be very smooth, but after few hours, lag problem appear again. (just now i try use it to sign it msn but hang, not just lag, but hang!!)

its becoz alots of background running program still on memory, use task manager (freewareppc) for 'real close'

or either soft reset yr phone every now and then to free up the memory...

ya every time after i reset it will be very smooth.
but after few hours the same problem occur again..
i had using task manager to close all program every time after use..
n the memory also free. about 25mb
