 Chinese Subtitle In Movie

One of my friend is playing Chinese movie with subtitle in the Window Media Player Classic however, it doesn't show up the "proper Chinese words".

Anyone can help ?

post the screen shot to clearly define your problem so that others could give u the right solution..
is it like thai words only?

most probably u'll need to have programs like njstar installed..

u can try installing KM Player where you can pick your own subtitle if it is provided.
Or u can just change your windows to chinese version instead of English (Malaysia).

Unfortunately, that computer is no within my reach. I'm unable to upload a screenshot for it.
It's display something the subtitle just like the Windows not having Chinese language install in the "Regional & Language Setting"

That pc has Chinese Star installed. It can display chinese word properly in the file name and browser, even the window media play while playing song without the need of running Chinese Star.

AFAIK, you will need Chinese language pack for your OS. Video player can't take advantage of Njstart when rendering the subtitle. It still need chinese language pack to properly display them.

Try K-Lite Mega Codec ... it will usually fix subtitle problems

 

Change to:

0.0170sec    0.41    5 queries    GZIP Disabled
