i also have the same problem with the vibrating sound at the passenger side, only occurs when i reach 110km/h or more... always thought that is the side mirror that coz the vibration, now will try to put some pressure on the dashboard to see is it the problem lies there..
*
Had the same problem before. sad.gif Even running slightly rough roads also can heard the obvious noise from passenger side A-pillar. Initially thought the noise was from either dahsboard or side mirror. Went SC couple times vmad.gif and finally found the noise was actually coming from outside of the passenger side fender. sweat.gif The join part between fender corner and bottom of A-pillar. There a gap between these 2 sheets of metal which might cause some irritating noise when car vibrates.

You can either put some thin slice of rubber sheet in between and tighten the screw. Alternatively you can just use some force and pull the fender metal edge out abit then it may not possible to contact the A-pillar metal surface. The knocking may tunnel into A-pillar and give you the wrong impression that the noise is coming from inside the pillar. doh.gif

when im driving sometimes whn i step on the clutch there is karcheng sound frm the middle front, sometimes on the brake also can crap duno watz wrong d

Got some intermittent annyoing noise coming from clutch and brake pedal when step on it. According to SC this is quite common, maybe due to cheapo quality spring used on the pedal join. Mark some grease on it will solve the problem:)

You used ur own engine oil but ur invoice didnt write so? Hmm.

I'm not really sure what brand engine oil I used (actually it's just cap ayam bought from carefour XD). But it's 20-50W la...Why?
Heehee, I didnt read up the manual, and yea I didnt really follow what iCare told me as well, since I'm bringing my own engine oil no matter what they said, that time on the phone I just ask along cuz I was asking something else as well.
No, it's not just the paint that cost 4500.

Difference in features between N and B line: alarm system, remote doors, power window, and radio with cd player (if not mistaken the rims are kinda diff too). And oh yeah for N-line there's only manual no auto. That means with N line you get a very basic panda car with ONLY central door lock =)
*
I own a N-line saga, if not mistaken here are the differences compared to B-line (1st batch) smile.gif :-

1) No alarm, but comes wit central lock, install alarm outside include labor sud cost ard RM200 (even comes wit tilt sensor while original never provide tongue.gif ).

2) No power windows (proton's nitemare, beter instal outside instead of goin bac SC icon_question.gif ).

3) Steel rims wit no rim cover but center caps, basicaly same rim as B-line except paint wit silver instead of falt black, sumore wit nicer wheel nuts (chrome). If u pla 2 change sport rims why bother bout those wheel caps? brows.gif

4) Only available in white color (personaly i think looks great rclxm9.gif ).

5) Ful black fabric seat, B-line seat got mix wit some grey fabric in center. Basicaly more practical coz not so visible 2 stains. See wat seat color is toyota vios top S spec sweat.gif

5) Black color front & rear + rear plate garnish cry.gif . Cost 2 send workshop sud ard RM300-450 (if u wan 2 paint d side mirrors n door handles like M-line).

6) No difference in terms of CD player. icon_idea.gif

7) Only manual transmission available (heard alot complains about auto petrol consumption, mine manual ard 13-16km/litre).

Actualy ther's not much mechanical differences across all specs, same engine n same transmission. Mos stuf r cosmetic differences except the dirver single airbag. Even d soundproof is same unlike toyota vios j spec wher d front bonet insulator is missin (coz sage original dun even provide vmad.gif )

its not the issue of the colour of the bumper.if im not wrong, u lost quite numbers of acesories and functions from ur car.no power window, no cd player, no alarm..er..thats wat im aware from la.my dad used to aim at N-line but on 2nd thought, he went for B-line.spraying the bumper need undercoating.expenses for a perfect paint for ur bumper will cost alot.rather that u juz get a B-line(s) which has the nice paint job done, right?if im not wrong, i think Proton is planning to stop the production of N-lines..
*
Actualy proton ori paint doesn't cost much as white color not metalic but solid. Mine front+back bumper spray wit same white color code cost RM300 in sunway paint shop, ard RM250 if u opt cheaper paint, but d paint might peel off aft couple years. Furthermore the N-line bumper in actual already comes wit black color wit glossy coat (it realy look fugly wit d white color overall doh.gif ). Heard N-line discontinued 4 year 2009 stock, not sure due 2 low demand or low margin... shakehead.gif

polis kata jangan but i kata buat... happy.gif

i already made 180km/h in sepang circuit (drag)...what such a nice engine proton have...no grrrrr....no beepp....smooth and high speed...

blm body already suitable for the wind speed...where its decorations and its lekuk2...koh3...

dont trust me??who dont u try a days in sepang?just rm80 only...or u can join me and sparring with my lotus elise? tongue.gif
*
Wat size of rims tat u fit on saga? I feel tat d chasis is quite solid feel n stiff when runnin over bumps n uneven road. But i notice d body roll is also quite significant if u tend 2 over steer or chagin course durin higher speed when over 80km/h. sweat.gif

for me....nothing....just that the engine will sound like lorry's engine and tak tak sound

I heard d IAFM inlet manifold is made of plastic, when it's declared faulty n replacin it did u notice any cracks or unusual 4 tat part? If not i think d only way 2 identify is 2 listen 2 engine sound. Mine sometimes abit harsh when cold start at morning. Not sure it's engine or tat manifold tat causing it. Previously usin 20W50 engine oil n 2nd service SC recomend 15W40. hmm.gif

Thankx a bunch smokey, do you thin you can let us know when you have some estimate of your FC figures? Because its pretty hard to tell from the test drive right? Again, thanks alot! cheers!

My N-Line manual blm saga give me constant 13-16km/litre for 60% highway & 40% city drive rclxms.gif

Before 1000km service the fuel consumption around 12-14km/litre. Using cheapest mineral 15W40 shell from SC. No additive added and still with original 13 inch steel rims. sweat.gif

This is a basic car with DOHC 16 valve without any bells and whistles like vvti, idsi or cvtc thingy cry.gif . Just equiped with an Integrated Air Fuel Module (IAFM) which resolved the campro engine torque dip problem doh.gif . Plus the over 1000kg car weight, i would say the fule consumption is decent biggrin.gif .
