like reducing the impact of accident

soundproof can reduce impact of accident??

hmmm...not sure about that
if reduce impace...have to see how hard the body of the car
want harder...add some bar inside like race car but add at engine there where cannot see from outside....that sure will reduce imact of accident

I thought soundproof could have extra function. 1k is really "something", so I am expecting more functions than noise reduction.

ic ... manyak mahal for upgrading. no wonder they say buy a car is like marry a wife.

door close more solid feel, less noise in the cabin, if people knock the metal wont sound like empty can, improve ur sound system...

Oh yeah, thanks! .... at first, I thought soundproof is something like iron frame ... in fact, it is thick sticker. Am I right ?

its some sort of an extra layer with sound absorbing material that stick onto the metal...there are many types of soundproof material...such as dynamat, infulex....but normally normal soundproof will provide good effect.....try to google around auto garage , there are some forumers that sells soundproof material...areas that best for diy is the doors, front bonet and rear boot....other than that better send to shop..

40/6 = 6.6 liter for each bar ?

too lazy. followed the other group all the way to kelana jaya, then wanna turn back became lazy, too lazy to call.

soundproofing just absorbs noises and vibrations.

average 1 bar can last for 90km-100km.... but the last bar can tahan about 70km before your car cannot start anymore... hehe

To reduce the engine noise, bonnet soundproof is enough, right? I think I will suggest my friend to do it DIY (as he is quite free), roughly around what price for good quality of soundproof ?

erm..bonnet does reduce abit..but not completely...in order to reduce more engine noise,u need to soundproof the firewall (behind dashboard)...because that is the part where engine sound comes in.... ...price wise depends what type of material u want..can try go accessories shop and survey...for me i bought cotton type (infulex)....RM50 for 2.5meters..

hahaha...the material is expensive...and the wages for the people to do it is expensive too
not so easy to do it....it takes time

but the bar represent the fuel guage....the top bar is biggest mean it have more fuel
the last bar smallest...run awhile will start blinking already
so the fuel tank is the the fuel meter.....big till small....a reverse pyramid..u know?
the other 10 liter is hidden...that will let u go extra after it start blink...so, u dn't break down at road side

no....bonnet and firewall...mean at the front of your steering there...the whole wall if soundproof...no sound will come in
if enough money....get dynamat...good quality soundproof
if u wanna sounrproof engine and firewall....better find those that can withstand heat well...u dn't want it to melt there

read from a forum somewhere...tried to google for it ..but can't find anymore..i tink after 3 years the a piece of the cam chip off and screwed up the whole engine and the guy transplanted to a 1.6 mivec.

myvi of course have...that's why myvi so expensive
and add those abs and other that is not necessary
