A question, AKPK will only help loans taken from approved financial institutions. Does AEON credit falls under approved financial institution as well?

Hi guys,

For those who have attended the AKPK program,
kindly let me know if my understanding below is correct :

(1) Walk in to the scheduled briefing

(2) After the briefing, have to proceed to the counter to arrrange for appointment with the counselors

(3) Go and meet the counselors on the scheduled date

(4) Counselors to agree on the payment rescheduling, and us to confirm likewise

(5) To start repaying the amount agreed

Is that correct?

If u want to be quick and don't want visit AKPK many times . Bring  your photostated IC , all ur up2date CC or loan statements . All this can be done in a day.  CCRIS can be printed in the AKPK office .

Many thanks for the reply smile.gif

CCRIS is the report from the Bank Negara, right?

Anyway, is CTOS statement be needed as well?

Don't need CTOS . Yes from Bank NEgara . They have a CCRIS kiosk . Just use ur mykard IC and thumbprint scan and can be printed on the spot

Do I need to attend the briefing, and subsequently set an appointment for the counseling?
If this is the case, then have to come for two sessions, right?

And after the loan restructuring has been done, I would need to come again to sign on the agreement, right?

My friend decided to join AKPK, as he can't afford to service his loan due to being retrenched.

However, he tried to remit the first payment via Maybank2u, but it was rejected.

He selected APKP --> APKP Pre-Payment. The error was "Reference # is not in numeric".

So question is, what would the AKPK # would be? Ain't it DMPxxxxxxx ?

When I paid my first installment, I click the option"DMP Monthly Installment" and not the Pre-Payment.  Your
friend can try and see if it works smile.gif

Thanks for the reply.

He mention that the reference # is DMP113******, but then, Maybank2u only allows the numeric.
So a question arise, is it correct that we just need to enter the number 113****** ?
Or is the case that AKPK will provide another # for remittance purposes?

Apparently the DMP***** is the reference number to key in.
Reason that initially it got rejected was because the number was not yet activated by the AKPK for use to transfer money via M2U smile.gif

I will apply the AKPK soon, however there's a question in my mind.
My friend told me that once applied with AKPK, if planning to travel overseas you're not allowed unless approval letter from company is provided. It's truth?

Because my job required me to travel frequently and I'm not afford to let my company know. Can anyone able to clarify this for me?
*
There is no need for approval letter from the company, in order for you to travel abroad.
Undergoing AKPK is not the same going through bankruptcy.

You company does not even need to know that you are undergoing AKPK.

Let say I have debts with 3 banks....should I enroll AKPK program for bank A and B only....so that in future it will be easy for me to apply facilities from Bank C after complete the program.

Does this mean it will be hard for me to get facility from the bank I enroll with AKPK in future or does it apply to any bank....means even after I complete the program will it be easier for me to get facility from other bank that I did not enroll with AKPK?

You don't get to cherry-picked which banks you would want, as everything (i.e. CC, Personal Loans)
will be combined under AKPK.

There is an alternative, though. You may choose the lowest debt, and clear it off with the bank (assuming that you only have 1 outstanding credit facility with the bank), before you enroll in the programme.

However, do note that AKPK does not deal with Hire Purchases. You'd have to still continue paying the banks, and should need be, to arrange for longer tenure, lower interest charges, etc..etc.. In gist, you have to do it yourself.

To answer on whether you can facilities with the bank in the future, well, based form the responses I read, once you've successfully completed the DMP programme, you should not have any problems in getting the facilities.

But throughout your programme, you'd not be able to get credit facilities from the bank, as your record would show that you are in AKPK.

Question is, why'd would you need further loans, when you can't service the current loans you have?

By the way guys,
Say, the date to remit payment is by the last date of every month.

However, the salary not in yet, so am having difficulty to pay the monthly sum.

What avenues can one take in this regards?

e.g
To discuss the matter with AKPK to adjust the payment date?
To pay a portion of the sum first?

I have encountered this problem before and what I did was to email my AKPK counselor to inform him immediately and told him the expected date that I will be able to bank-in the monthly payment.
*
And what was the outcome of that?
Did he agree to extend the time for you to remit the payment?

Yes, my delay was two to three days later after 30th & I submit my bank statements to verify that my salary was indeed credited into my account late by my employer.

However, my AKPK counselor also cautioned me that I should not make it a habit to delay payment as AKPK has the right to cancel our agreement.  He advised that we should ensure that there is sufficient funds to payment AKPK on time every time.
*
Oh okay. Meaning that would need to inform the counselor in cases whereby may delay on the payment.
Did your counselor mentioned on the procedures of AKPK cancelling the agreement?

Is it like, missed 1 payment also they straight away cancel it?

^ I believe with AKPK it'll be one-strike-and-you're-out.

Sorry to be so brash, but that is the reality.

But maybe since this is a new application, they might give you a chance.
After all, you've cleared all you debts earlier on.

For consolidation, AKPK would be the best.

Failure to enrol in their programme, you may have to approach your individual FIs and arrange for either lower monthly payments, and/or longer repayment period. You may even ask if your payment can be deferred [but your interest charges may increase, so it'll be hard to settle your outstanding loans].
