Went for my counseling today. Not sure if I should continue to enroll. Yes its true the total monthlly repayment has been scale down to half of what I need to pay currently but its a ten years plan and by the end of the ten years, i am actually paying around 30k extra. Would appreciate some advice. tq

If I enroll in the Debt Management program, will my name be blacklisted?

Sorry to ask.

After the counselling, the counselor gave me a reference number n said I need to key in the reference number into their website within 10 days. After tat when I 1st deposit money to their assigned acc, my program will start.

Does the program actually starts once I keyed in the reference number or I deposit my 1st payment? If is the latter, can I reapply AKPK in future although I keyed the reference number but didnt continue the program by not deposit money?

The program will start once you deposit the 1st payment but not sure whether you can reapply again if you didn't continue the program

My monthly nett income 2.6k, current CC debt around RM6k, (over limit by 2k than my approved cc limit)
My monthly commitment
Personal Health care insurance - RM200
Car Installment - RM600

monthly am i suffering interest charges like RM70++ till now overlimit i cannot use my CC anymore. I can't do a BT programme too cuz so far no other banks approve my CC application.
What are your advices, should l let AKPK handle this?

i suggest you really think before entering AKPK. Yes, it helps to cut down your loan repayments but once you are in, you cannot get any loan or even stand as guarantor.

And i heard from a friend in bank, even after u settle everything, the bank will still think twice before granting you a loan because of the history.

my advise if really no other choice then only register with AKPK

JScomp,

As long as your CCRIS report is clear, should be no problem.
*
CCRIS report is clean doesn't mean your cc will be get approved.
For those banks u got credit card or personal loan with them, they won't approved your new application this is what my experience now.
And I applied on the others 2 banks which don't have any records with them before and finally they approved my cc application.

Conclusion:
If you really plan to AKPK, don't involved too many banks when you're enrolled akpk program.
Coz it'll be difficult for u to re-apply for any facilities on that same back even u quit from program.

Seek for akpk if you really have no other choices, enrol to akpk program as last option.

I'M FREE FROM AKPK NOW!!!!!! NEW LIFE STARTED.

I just came back from AKPK. I owe the bank for RM 100k. After the consideration of my commitment, AKPK worked out the restructuring plan of 10 years for me. I need to make the first payment next week which is RM 1,400. This has relieved me a lot for thinking too much recently on how to clear my debts and I don’t afraid of picking up the calls anymore. Don’t think too much if you really can’t afford to pay the debts, just need to sacrifice some time and you will get a better life. Though the counsellor looks fierce but actually they are friendly. They really have the intention to help us. Don’t try to make more instalments when you can afford to. Keep the money until you can settle some of the debts account. Then inform AKPK accordingly and they will reduce your monthly payment. Otherwise, you can request to maintain the monthly payment so that you can be released from the programme sooner.

My friend decided to join AKPK, as he can't afford to service his loan due to being retrenched.

However, he tried to remit the first payment via Maybank2u, but it was rejected.

He selected APKP --> APKP Pre-Payment. The error was "Reference # is not in numeric".

So question is, what would the AKPK # would be? Ain't it DMPxxxxxxx ?
