received an email from AKPK saying that my application has approved.

Please be informed that your DMP application has been approved. Please proceed to activate your customer portal at https://customer.akpk.org.my by clicking Forgot Password and fill up the required information.

Is this a normal procedure from AKPK?

Hi everyone,

I would like to make full settlement to my AKPK, I only have one credit card under it.

I would like to know do I first contact the bank and then AKPK? I'll be paying off to the bank right? Its a huge amount and I'm afraid of making mistakes 😐

Call the bank (akpk officer of the bank) first. get the settlement amount. once you have paid, get the settlement letter from the bank.

then with settlement lettter, upload to the akpk portal. then AKPK will review and acknowledge. Once acknowledge, another letter from akpk will be out to say that you are cleared from akpk.

Bro,

Please do not forget to ask for as much discount as possible from the bank officer.

Dont buta buta pay them the exact full sum.

I believe they can give very good discount for AKPK lump sum settlement.

Just tell them you got one time bonus / commission, if they want then they can take it like 20%-50% discounted sum for final settlement.

Just try, no harm, it will be good for future AKPK ppl like us.

Hi guys, I'm new here. I've been enrolled in AKPK DMP since 2014 with around 200k credit card outstanding balance from 7 different banks.
Today, I have circa 104k balance to settle and I plan to fully settle them now.

Like many of you have mentioned in previous posts, the best way of settlement is to call up individual banks and negotiate a discount/waiver/deal.

So far I've managed to convince 2 banks - HSBC and UOB to offer some discounts for full settlement and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. The other 5 banks are either not picking up my calls or they are not offering any discounts.
I'll post all the details I have gathered, including the collection department contacts of all the banks. Hopefully, this information can help someone in the same boat as me. If you know a better way of getting a discount, please drop me a message or reply to my thread.

So here goes:

Cimb Bank
Collection Department number: 03-20352437 / 03-20288654
- Offered a settlement proposal of around 8% discount. I decided not to settle yet because I'm not satisfied with the offer.

Standard Chartered
Collection Department number: 03-79467888
- They don't offer any discount unless it's in special recovery where I fail to pay AKPK for three months.

United Overseas Bank (UOB)
Collection Department number: 03-27832047
- Settled with 30% discount. An officer named Faly was very helpful in the process of proposal and settlement.

Hong Leong Bank
Collection Department number: 03-79591888 - press 1 then 4
- I've been trying to call them for days, was put on hold forever... still unable to speak to anyone.

Maybank
Collection Department number: 03-20708833 ext 6856 / 6843
- They don't offer discounts on the phone but advised me to email akpk@maybank.com.my for settlement discount, which I did and haven't got a reply from them. It's been a week now.

RHB
Collection Department number: 0326106407 / 0326106406
- No discount available =(

HSBC
Collection Department number: 03-20757859
- My account was already under a special unsecured loan which doesn't charge interest nor fees, so it's a no brainer to settle this one.

I hope this information can help someone out there. If you know a better way of getting discounts from the banks, please reach out to me =)

Cheers.

Guys, I have recently opted out from AKPK as I can afford the monthly installments. Thus, since then I cant make any move to purchase anything from the bank. All applications are rejected, now I am deciding to settle the loan which brought me to AKPK. My situation now is I can afford to pay a new loan which I am about to take but no banks want to entertain my request. I am looking to buy a property which I love but I cant make a move. Can someone enlighten me what can I do? or any bankers can help me?

hmm.gif just asking,....you opted out from AKPK...that means you had already settled all loans arranged by AKPK?

Application for loans will be subject to check by banks, Banks will know until AKPK cleared their system

After you opted out of AKPK, you need to wait for 6 months, to let your CCRIS records to clean up = no AKPK = no bad records.

Then you may apply for loan, but please do not apply the new loan with those banks under AKPK before, use other new banks.

Yes, but you will need to inform the bank to enable oversea usage.

On the other hand, you can apply bigpay (prepaid cc) to use oversea. I have been using this for oversea usage. Also does not want to use my debit overseas, just in case any fraud.
If you want, I can invite you so u earn and i earn. Up to you. just pm me if want.

Sharing my experience after settled my AKPK .

1. Enrolled in 2014, total 5 cards about 80k+ outstanding. Pay 1.3k each month at 9% interest rate
2. Settled 2 cards for bsn n rhb. balance reduced to 40k in 2018 for ocbc, Citi and hsbc, made a stupid move by withdrawing the AKPK for self management, Citi and hsbc changed the status to restructured credit facility and allowing me to pay them with the same instalment, talked to both and hsbc changed the status to outstanding instead of restructured loan. Ocbc insisted on full settlement and managed to reach an agreement of splitting into 3 payments
3. Settled fully for citi and hsbc in Oct, ccris cleared in Nov
4. Apply for pbb credit cards and got the approval in Nov. I have a car loan 15k only.

AKPK helped me in the sense that I know how to manage my debts and financials
