I see. So one can only apply for AKPK when he missed his monthly payment?

Btw, I tried to fill up the forms in AKPK website. But the webpage seems quite unstable. I cant edit the page where you enter your monthly expenses. Tried with google chrome, microsoft edge ended up the same. Is this normal where you cant edit your monthly expenses?

Morning everyone,

I have a personal loan under Ambank amount to date RM 16K++,
Ctos Show RM 13k++ . Today I called to Ambank for early settlement, they offer me RM 13,100 to settle it by today.

Should I take up the offer? Or should I use it to settle other credit carD?
The person in charge said personal loan usually not giving much discount.

And, after I fully settle one of the loan or credit card, the monthly installment to AKPK will reduce? or will remain the same amount?

Thankyou

Hi, I would like to ask some opinion from those who has prior experience dealing with AKPK.

I am in travel industry and since MCO started, my income has been affected a lot. I am earning 60% less right now compared to pre-covid.

As of right now, I am able to survive due to moratorium. And in light of this moratorium ending soon, I can foresee that I wont be able to service my loan payment soon. Thus  i am considering AKPK as last resort.

Currently still in the process of negotiating with all the banks but from what I see, they are quite reluctant to help as of now.

The question that is running in my mind:

1. Is AKPK able to help on HP loan? I dont mind letting go of my car but the loan is still high and exceed the car value. Is there such option that we can let go the car and pay the difference in installment to the bank?

Tried search around regarding car loan but not much were shared.

No payment has been missed so far and ccris all 0. Dont know whether it helps or not in negotiating with the banks
*
as what i know akpk only can help on CC and PL. other like Housing Loan and Car Loan they can only consult.

which one to pay... i think you can opt to look at the interest % for all, clearing the ones that has higher interest would be better. personal thinking.

on akpk reduction, yes. eg. you have 2 accounts under akpk. RM1000 monthly (500 each). if you cleared one, you pay just 500 to akpk after confirmation.
What you need to do is (timing is key). after cleared with the bank, get the release letter, scan and upload in akpk portal for that accout as partial settlement. once akpk acknowledged, your repayment amount will be updated.

Get the latest statement (which they will recalculate for you) from bank before you cleared it. from there you know up to which month your akpk paid. there could be a case where you paid akpk, but did not reflected yet (eg the last month's). Some banks will pay back, some banks just keep quiet.

Thank you for you guys reply!

Finally settled UOB credit card RM 5,100 discount become RM 4,210.
And, HSBC both credit cards RM 14,400.

Left CITIBank, Ambank and CIMB ...

Uob currently having promotion, got rebate.
Hsbc and AMB no rebate at all.

They said my interest is low 6%, therefore no discount ...

Hi, I have an enquiry. Since I'd paid off CITIBANK debts. They sent me so call "statement" mentioned the figure that I'd paid.

Wanna ask, does CITIBANK give us a "Settlement Letter" instead of "statement" ?
