hi, ive search over the forum to find topics related to my questions but i couldnt find it. thus i created new topic. im a windows vista home basic user currently using internet explorer 7. been using IE for decades and now im planning to change to other browsers such as safari or firefox as it said to be faster than IE. i wanted to know whether my 'favourites' will still remain there or it will lost upon browser changing? ps : which is better? safari or FF or IE 8 beta? im totally clueless on this tongue.gif

it always be there but u can choose to import it into Firefox/Safari/Chrome.

Firefox does offer import option on the first startup or you can import/export bookmarks manually.

When you install another 3rd-party web browser, your bookmarks/favorites will not be gone/lost/deleted. In fact, you can even have the same bookmarks/favorites in Firefox 3. During installation of FF3, the setup will ask the user whether bookmarks/favorites should be imported. Hope I've helped. icon_rolleyes.gif FF3 is better than Safari in Windows. Safari on the other hand is better than FF3 in Mac. (I know cause I'm using Mac and Windows tongue.gif )

IE 8 is currently in BETA and I wouldn't recommend that you download and install it just yet. hmm.gif I'd recommend Firefox 3.

you don't make sense la.

you talk as if you're forced to pledge allegiance with only 1 browser only. get real la, install whatever browser you thought interesting and find out what's best for you!

for lightweight-browsing, I personally love Chrome. All other things, Firefox. Web Developer add-on is awesome! along with a bunch of other things.

If I'd to debate with you. Not only Chrome has "Private Browsing (Incognito)". Safari also has "Private Browsing". tongue.gif Just my 2 cents.
