Perfect Defender 2009 is a rogue anti-spyware program that uses false advertising and false positives to scare you into purchasing the software. This software is promoted through the use of pop-ups that pretend to be online anti-malware scanners stating that you are infected. This online scanner, though, is an advertisements and doesnot actually know if you are infected with anything or not. Once installed, Perfect Defender will be configured to start when you log into Windows. Once running, it will display a variety of security risks that are unable to be removed unless you first purchase the software. These risks, though, are all false or highly exaggerated and are only being shown to scare you into purchasing the software
