QUOTE(uzary @ Dec 24 2008, 08:18 PM) oic.. hard to explain.. more or less like why you run windows update & put service pack. can be increase performance, fix bug /security hole, compatibility problem. is it a must? not necessary if you don't need the fix. the risk of failure is like James case, no boot BIOS (Basic Input /Output System) is "program" stored inside a "chip" of your mobo. flash BIOS = put service pack, different from "changing factory setting" = play control panel. new BIOS = more things to play in control panel you can easily reset CMOS (the "chip") stored settings to default by pull out battery, but you need special tool /program to "flash" BIOS version (either upgrade or downgrade). QUOTE(Hinika @ Dec 24 2008, 10:24 AM) i have 2 hdd here, backup the data and do a full format (including deleting all the partitions) and see whether it workshdd 1 with os, can access to windows but might not sometime before format, after delete the partition during win os setup, the format cant complete as displayed the hdd might be Damaged, cant even format it at other pc, but can still detect. hdd 2 with storage, can be detect but cant access, appear might be corrupted or unreadable... so both of this hdd can send to warranty ady? if it doesn't, you can RMA them if they still have warranty. usually the manufacturer website will let you check the warranty status by keying in the serial number Added on December 24, 2008, 10:21 pm QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Dec 17 2008, 01:02 AM) Eh guys.. just to put up further explanationDoes the Single Channel and Dual Channel noticable? EG : 2x2GB VS 1x2GB,2x1GB.. If it is..does the affect quite alot? single or dual channel configuration doesn't speed up the computer. it merely speed up the LOADING process. more amount of data can be written / read to the memory on dual channel configuration but the speed advantage is minimal if not noticeable on normal, every day computing but when you are talking about games with HUGE maps to load, dual channel will be significantly faster to load the maps same goes with ultra high resolution picture editigin or any programs that sucks up huge amount of memory This post has been edited by lucifah: Dec 24 2008, 10:21 PM |

Have try looking into the motherboard manual on BIOS recovery procedure (usually may requires the use of CD/DVD drive or floppy disk drive) ? In gaming, it will be E6600 overall due to larger cache and higher bus speed. who win? QUOTE(uzary @ Dec 25 2008, 03:58 AM) in term of wat does ram effect game performance? is more ram can give smoother gameplay or jus increases the loading time? More RAM means most of the game program can reside in the memory, thus less paging (use of "virtual memory). This post has been edited by lex: Dec 25 2008, 06:25 AM |

Have try looking into the motherboard manual on BIOS recovery procedure (usually may requires the use of CD/DVD drive or floppy disk drive) ? Black screen... no text no nothing... looked into the manual... the only thing i know is the Download Flash Bios Pins, which i think need a external to flash it... and they didnt give any instruction on bios recovery or any disk...Then im thinking of Hotflashing, but i dunno who willing to borrow their mobo... So im looking for any shop or place than have bios flashing service... but still cant find yet... Worst case scenario, get a new board, hot flash myself, then sell it out for a much lower price, but problem is i dun have so much money at the moment, so looking for flashing service would be the best... |
