QUOTE(POKAUS @ Oct 27 2009, 03:42 PM) want to ask pro here. which way is good to pasang CPU cooler?upward or backward? this is for TRUE 120 on XFX780i.. thanks a lot depends on ur casing. if ur casing has top exhaust, better facing upward, with the heatsink fan sucking air from bottom and blowing to the top. cos hot air moves upwards. but if ur casing doesnt have top exhaust, then facing backward... Added on October 27, 2009, 4:53 pmQUOTE(dlwl @ Oct 27 2009, 11:00 AM) wanna ask about amd phenom x2 550BE and x3 720BE. can they surely be unlocked, or depends on batch, type of mobo, etc etc? and bios too. Eh? I thought PSUs are supposed to take cool air in from the bottom of the case and exhaust it immediately out the back? I can't seeing any PSUs with a top vent before. It's always on the side. Which means you will install fan side down with the exhaust vent towards the provided slot in your case as per the picture below. Though note that the case in question has a PSU mount on top instead.

QUOTE(GeneralX @ Oct 27 2009, 03:47 PM) No difference. The good thing is it might increase overclocking margin a little, that's all. Bad thing, it stresses your chipset more, thus more heat. Thanks a lot bro.

Mainly better processor support, more efficient manufacturing process of the chipset, slightly higher overclock-ability. You can't run certain Core 2 Quad processors on 945-series, but G31 supports most, if not all of them including the 45nm Quad/Extreme. However, the price difference of both isn't much, so going with the newer G31 is a better investment.
