this is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but these started out life as unwashed (not raw). 4 years of wear later...

@capnjazz: if your waist measures about 36" then i think you're about a w34 in levis 501/505s. the inseams are about 36.5" in those two particular cuts.
to break it down a little more; the difference between all the levis model is simply in the cut. 501s and 505s are essentially the same thing - straight cut. the only difference is that 501s have button-fly and 505s have zip-fly. having said that, other lines (512, 511, etc) tend to be smaller (and i am also unsure of what the different numbers mean; best to ask a salesperson). and for brands like nudie/apc etc, i'm pretty sure they fit true to size (i.e. w34 = 34" waist). |

yes, the gardens levis flagship stocks LVC, but from memory, no raw/rigid denim.
and yes, rigid = raw. |

stan: like the first fit much better than the second. the second pic looks awkward to me, and the footwear also doesn't go to well, imo.
having said that... i will never be able to wear raws like you have. i'm fatter, and do not have a proportional upper-body. oh, and flat-ass syndrome ![]() ![]() |

hmmn, maybe loafers are just not my thing.
just a suggestion; if you prefer loafers, i think hockneys would complement the look much better. ![]() ![]() |

thanks for the heads up, but like jind mentioned; i've already tried skinny and slim, and both are not a good look for me. those that i am wearing are actually regular straight cuts from levis/gap/etc.
and just for the record, i'm 177cm (~5'10). i should probably pull them up higher, but the muffin top doesn't allow much space, lmao. |

on the note of fenoms, i much prefer the older models. imho, they went massively downhill when they started producing multicolours.
anyway; here's a not so old pic of mine: ![]() sold the black disco, and the gp is pending sale. will be getting another gp soon-ish. ![]() |

there are some ways to prevent indigo bleeding; none of which are 100% fail-proof:
1. soaking denim to remove excess dye 2. folding hem, to prevent bleeding 3. taping the inside of the hem to prevent bleeding as mentioned before, none of the above are 100% fail-proof. at the end of the day, there's going to be some bleeding on your shoes, wallet, clothes. |

dry-cleaning achieves nothing.
why? because the process involved in dry-cleaning is - smear cleaning products on clothes, wipe off. your best bet would still be soaking (in cold water - reduces shrinkage, and removes excess dye). |

it looks big because i am a relatively big guy
that's a w34 and fit is just nice. think the inside waist is about 34.5" so just about right. size down one is impossible; i wouldn't be able to button them up i don't like the new regular line fenoms; the new logo is a little... weird. and the left rear pocket lining is also... weird. but that's my opinion. |

to be honest though; most proxies charge a 10-15% pickup fee. i got mine for a similar mark-up after going through a jp proxy (10%) and shipping fees to KL.
expensive, but i covered it from sales of previous pairs. was going to get a GP, but it would have technically been used... so decided to go for the crush 11 instead. |
