yes, new Facelifted Civic oledi out but not yet in msia. City and Civic are two range of car, City is entry level, just like our ...hmmm..Iswara, and Civic is the Wira/Waja..(but of cos the quality of Honda and Proton cant compare their level like tat la  rolleyes.gif ).
haha...but if u look at price offering(without tax), city/vios range should be around wira/gen2/waja
saga still lower than that...
may be it consider base level car

Is the power good enough? 10 extra horsepower but 50KG heavier than previous city... With torque converter, there is more power loss than CVT
*
go check out dyno, the +10hp comes at end of high RPM, means u hav to rev kao kao the +10 only come out....basically in power term, not much dif from current VTEC in daily driving...

exclude of CVT in malaysia market is a loss for malaysian
in fact taken with good care, CVT durability is jz like other transmission
still not sure how smooth the 5AT will bring yet of comfortness, or the "ohm" ppl always look for...

certainly, if u look at how jazz progress to new jazz....
city to new city is a cheap thingy, not really much improved...
u might see good improvement in some point, but see some fallback in another...
there is more Honda can do or put in here....
wont comment if the price is justifiable, but if one can wait, should wait for facelift....there is still room for improvement for this new city...

IMHO they should not increase the price of their car, if accord can be priced the same as the previous version, why not city/jazz?
*
sometimes....price is not decide by them....
especially when thing comes to excise duty....

Kevin, are you comparing with a new City 3g/4g (older version) or City 3g/4g which has already driven more than 15k mileage?

Test drive cars usually not so powerful since the engine hasn't run-in yet. 120ps will show up definitely, just maybe later after run-in. Honda won't simply state 120ps in spec list without any proof (intense dyno test). My 2 cents biggrin.gif

Just viewed the car. Definitely will go for E-spec if for me, Paddle shifter is really exciting feature from Honda.

Cheers !

120ps not showing up every time, go check dyno chart if u no idea of it...

in fact go search temple of vtec asia and look at the dyno chart of new L15A
the extra 10ps comes at the end of chart, which means only at higher rpm it comes in....
below than that, no difference from City VTEC in term of HP.

120ps on wheel or engine ?
*
of coz on engine biggrin.gif

u wont get full 120 after taking into count everything that cause power loss....
weight, drag between wheel and road, inersia...etc

Nope only IDSI using SOHC...VTEC using DOHC..

THATs y IDSI feel like 1000cc car..

ANyway, its a nice car,not as powerful as i expected..Jazz 1.5 more powerfull..yaya,lighter body and all..but the power for the new CITY now is between IDSI and VTEC...

Test drove it 2 times and felt the same thing at two different showrooms.
*
heheheh......... thumbup.gif

FYI...both City VTEC/iDSI shares same engine block, L15A, which is SOHC
rated HP is 110ps(VTEC) and 88ps(iDSI)

the current new City has +10ps at after 5000rpm (VTEC on???)

see this chart

ok.. from my 2 cents tought, i m not electronic enginner but i work close with this kind of people.. hehe.

As when u want to fold your side mirror, 1 press to fold... then 1 press to open rite. it mean there have a swicth which connect it to tell it fold. so if u want to activate your alarm, u also need a button press to remote active it. how if u manage to combine the wire for when u press the alarm remote control, same times transfer the signal to the mirror fold button around. but yes, u have to understand the car electronic control panel only can doing it... hehehe

when i come to LYN.. i feel user here more well know the city than SA d. cause when everything ask the just minor question they also dont knw.. hehehe!

By the way, i see the brochure " Cool Lounge" in CT, which tell the front seat bottom have additional air conditioner port which for rear seat for faster cooler rite. when i ask my SA, he also tell me brohure miss present the thing, so mind to know do there have this function?? how only it works? cause i hear someone post here there have this function.
*
in the previous city, the owner's manual reveals that there is option for rear air conditioner too...
but sadly malaysian version tala......
