QUOTE(invisible_guy22 @ Jan 11 2009, 08:12 PM) hi all the bros out there.. i wanna ask that is the printed type number plate is legal??? or illegal?? From what I know, printed one (smooth type?) is not illegal. My dad's car is using that (came with the car) and it's perfectly okay.lots of ppl are telling me that the alphabets and numbers have to be emboss and not printed. i thought of having a printed number plates on my new city instead of the embosssed type. Unless my definition of printed type is different. Added on January 11, 2009, 8:36 pm QUOTE(W.ROOK @ Jan 11 2009, 08:31 PM) Is that the one where the alphabets and numbers are instead of solid white, it's a bit translucent (see through)?I saw a few on some Honda before.. QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Jan 11 2009, 09:04 PM) That's illegal? I'm pretty sure my dad's car is printed and not embossed. Then again, perhaps it's a new ruling and his car is old? Is there a source where we can verify this? Added on January 11, 2009, 9:19 pm QUOTE(linkokkeen @ Jan 11 2009, 09:13 PM) wah wah wah 2 days didnt login now already is 116 page lah hahahaha Wonder how long will it take to reach WSF XXXX. QUOTE(vez @ Jan 11 2009, 10:54 PM) you can go jpj site to check it out daily, it update twice a day, so u can roughly know 1 day around how many numbers, now WSE954, if not mistaken, Wxx number is ~1k+ daily lor, it will take 9 working days to reach WSF Yea.. think that's the only thing I can do, except perhaps get my SA to find a 'belakang mari jalan' to get my WSF XXX. Guess when I call him about my loan tomorrow I'll ask him about this. Cos if it's est 9 working days, think I'll be getting my car already by then |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Jan 11 2009, 11:35 PM) Ermm.. My current city is using Pilot Preceda 195/50, about rm 260. Trust me, the grip is damn good... My bro's GTI using that also. I see. I guess for our City, it'll prolly set us back bout 300+. will see how much it cost at h20, maybe will go down one of these days.As for RS brake pads... Ha, you can get many review out there I think, one time there is one Gen 2 trying to follow me, and then suddenly there is one big lubang, so I gently hit brake to slow down and avoid, but that Gen 2 need to jam brake and then still hit into that lubang.. Lolz... And if you interested, I can help you to get for lower price when your stock pads wears off... RS stands for Rapid Stop if you want to know and comes with 3 grades, Standard, Performance, and Ultra. I using the Performance one where the working temperature is up to 550 degree celsius and it is mainly for street and track racing. Can let you test my city if you want.. Ya Andy, will probably use the stock 1 until it wears off... It's a waste... Yep, I agree to keep the stock one till it wears out. quite expensive to change brake pads. How much will these brakepads cost anyway, say for the Performance type, can always put a set on the Civic at home? My only concern is whether its compound will damage my brake rotors (if the brake compound is too hard etc). |

QUOTE(mighty_army @ Jan 12 2009, 12:19 AM) guys....i was testing the paddle shift on my baby just now and oh my goodness, it's very good indeed!!! u can hear the engine roar while u manipulate the gears. pick up is very good indeed. there is no lag and it's very responsive. so for those who are still considering either S spec or E spec, think no more!! go for the E spec!! You are making me jealous..haha!Can't wait to get mine in a week's time. I guess you're driving with the Paddle Shift under the (S) mode? |

Well, I'm not sure what they rate the new City's octane level. But then even with RON92, it will run np. If anything, the ECU will adjust accordingly the mixture. To me, if I'm not going to suffer any loss of power due to RON95, I'm going to use it. Every dollar save is helpful to me (can use to pay back the monthly installment..hehe)

QUOTE(hush_puppies @ Jan 12 2009, 08:22 AM) Good morning. It's another start of the week. Seems there are some new honda city are on the road huh. I still need to wait till mid of march =.='' If you want to maintain at a certain low gear when you drive up / down Genting Highlands.. I suggest you stick to (S) mode 'cos in that mode, the gear will not shift unlike in (D) mode, unless you just want to drop a gear from 5 to 4 to overtake a carwell, I was thinking, how actually to use the paddle shift when we are driving at the way of genting highland. For normally auto, we pull down to D3 and sometimes D2 if really need to go hard, then what about paddle shift? D mode gear or S mode gear? In which way is more recommend to use or suitable and sufficient, let's say for this 1.5 honda city thanks 1st for you guys answer |

QUOTE(ccdin1 @ Jan 12 2009, 06:07 PM) Went to HM to see my City, ready to go next week. Saw black, PMM and BBM next to each other. BBM really stood out from the rest. Yea.. I think BBM to me is the best color 'cos the front grille's gray has a nice contrast with the 'gold' color..Looks like alot of ppl are getting their City. Can't wait to see more on the road |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Jan 12 2009, 10:26 PM) About the car plate issue earlier, my dad's Carrera S was not embossed... So I think there is some exception. And why people canceling car? Wow.. your family does have alot of sweet cars. GTI (Golf?), Exige S and now a Carrera S?Pardon me asking, but how come you're only getting a City? Shouldn't you opt for a FD2R? QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Jan 12 2009, 10:56 PM) Nope.. Satria GTI.. Enough to pawn RX8 and Celica alike.. haha Hahah. I see. Okay la, since it's a Satria GTI and you got the City E-Spec, I think there's nothing to complain about Ha.. FD2R? My dad will kill me... A normal Civic 2.0 also difficult lo... But then just a bit unfair, bro got GTI and I got City... But then he always nag me for getting a 89k car... But then performance wise his GTI is monster enough. He and my sister got new car for getting license and dropping P license, while I have none. I am using old kembara, and then City VTEC, and now see if I want to consider the new City, because I may want to stick to my old city. See la.. This weekend or next monday should be getting my PMM E spec... No need wait until march Guess for that price, if you're ain't into moddin' too much and enjoy the pleasures of low FC.. then City's for you..hehe! Good luck getting your PMM E-Spec. My loan will be approved in a day or two, though I might delay my ASM E-Spec to next week 'cos I wanna get WSF XXXX (Currently 12/1/08 @ 535pm: Kuala Lumpur WSE2267) on the JPJ website |

QUOTE(foocy2001 @ Jan 12 2009, 11:56 PM) My SA told me he'll throw in the door visor. I said okay but called him today and changed my mind. I asked him to give me the boot tray instead. He said okay. I just think it's more practical to have the boot tray in the long run compared to the door visor. I think the boot tray is more useful, but the door visor will give the car a nicer look (cos you can actually see it).I'm going to buy the boot tray anyway, since for RM200.. more than enough to cover from the discount my SA gave to me. The door visor? Will buy later |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Jan 13 2009, 09:46 PM) Hmm.. I choose the number 9820... All the cars in my home is 9820 except Carrera S took 911. So the new city is WSE 9820. I see. So if that's the case, that'll cost you RM210 or more? |
