i like all 3, their very classic looking watches, very simple yet elegant, how much is one?

SWATCH BODY AND SOUL AUTOMATIC SKELETON.. around 560-600
BTW: its not kinetic, it a automatic.. there are difference between the 2 technology.

automatic use a spring, of course they aren't as accurate as quartz kinetic. do lose/gain some sec every 24hrs. don't wear for 2 days and watch stop
kinetic use a capacitors/battery.. changing kinetic energy to electric to power the watch. older kinetic watches do have problems with capacitors cannot retain energy.

not the entry level 99.0.  ... 99.1 more expensive by a good US$600. not found a brand that is keeping prices low.
if Seiko don't jack up prices as fast might as aim for a 99.1. the longer U wait, the dream seem to go further away. Today, I doubt salary increase is that fast.

Darn! U restore the movement! I also wanna learn some basics. there is a school near by that teach entry level watchmaking upon completing can apply for the Rolex Diploma program. Still trying to find out how to enroll.
was reading around, some started using a China Unitas 6497 (Asian 6497).
timezone has a online school program.. care to share how U learn? that I really have no idea.

FYI: Chopard LCU is working on a 10Hz Escapement out of silicon. double Zenith El Primero.

don't be confuse.. ask and I will try my best to explain.
if automatic watch stop, U can wind the crown and it will start movement.
A light shake will start it.

An Kinetic watch, the battery should keep the watch running for a longer period of time.

A Swatch watch, expect Standard Grade movement, so expect it to gain/lose a max of 12 secs every 24hrs.
Kinetic quartz.. maybe 1 mth 1-5 secs (didn't check just on top of my head).

then got any difference if buy a swatch from e-bay but not genuine type? maybe in terms of spoil faster than original, rotten faster..or anything bad things except warranty & trust issue...

cos i know he only like originals watches..need to fund money to get him one..summore i myself student only...haih

not seen a fake swatch. I don't thinking buying on ebay is a problem. IIRC I bought my swatch Irony on ebay, till this day its still good.
buying on ebay, no gurantee. cheapest 1 I saw is US$139 + shipping.
do note, its plastic do scratch easily. need to buy PolyWatch Scratch Remover to remove scratches.

Zenith under the new CEO (the Moroccan guy) has become something of a joke to those who knew the old Zenith. They were the most aggressive in making pocketwatch-sized wristwatches with the sort of extroverted design that appeals to teenagers. Yeah, I know, generation gap and all. But I'm in my mid to late twenties myself. Not that old yet.

Swatches are great watches for what they are meant to be: casual, fun and affordable. There are no successful fakes. Most of them are plastic, though not all. Your BF will like them. Those on ebay might have been worn before. Or they might be new. Be sure to ask.

If you want to read about this watch in German, you have to search for it under "Dornblueth" and not "Dornbluth". Notice the extra "e". Congrads! Zenith do make good watch. although some ppl do love vintage Zenith.

worth RM 18.8K??? hmm the way I see it expensive. On a good day in States, some outlet do let them go at 50-70% discount!
of course is surplus stock and out dated model.
2 issue with Zenith is mainly cost associated
1) Problem with Zenith is they change the design freq, thus do not bring high resale value.
not going to sell it, sure at RM 18.8K why not.
if dare to risk it, surf around there are reliable grey market places to get better deal maybe at RM 16K or lower.
2) El Primero is a pretty complex movement, few watchmaker can do a good job. U'll have to pay a premium to get it done right with the AD.

swatch watches, I say Unisex esp the model U looking at.
all swatch watches come with plastic face, like baby G.

orginal swatch != longer lasting. QC isn't that strict.
nice thing is if broke, an automatic can be fix easily!

Very likely since they're always replaced with new collections.

only can look around on ebay or online in that case.
if U extremely lucky maybe some small stores still have old stock lying around.
