Do you think those replicas at lelong.com.my are worth buying? I find Bell & Ross watches over there seems to be pretty decent. Anyone have experience in this?

I think buying anything replica will never come close to the same thing, Please bare in mind that replica's are made with labour intense from child labour to force labour. money from buying replica products are chanel to various illegal activity.
Please do not support this activity.

people will know if the watch is a replica one when they hold it, see it, and feel it.

generally, nobody will pull your wrist over to check out whether the watch is a genuine or not. so, at a quick glance in the social event, the replica watch does look like a genuine watch.

i have known many professional fields people age above 40/50 years old own replica Panerai, PP, A. Lange & Sonne, IWC, Cartier, FM etc watches.

what cars are they driving? ...Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, BMW..etc and even one owns a ferrari.

will people say they are wearing a replica watch?
*
The matter here is not whether someone will know or not you are wearing a replice, the matter is about principal, moral and dignity.
If one can drive all the cars you mention and yet buys replicas it clearly shows the mentality of the said person.

if you have extra 200k in cash, will you buy a car, a house or a watch? smile.gif

throughout the conversation with those people, they say themselves will not wear a 200K watch everyday for work.

replica watches and replica bags are everywhere in town.

if you spend your time on sunday in any shopping mall, you may notice there are so many LV owners, Gucci Owners... how many of those are owning a genuine bags?
*
From what you say its pretty simple if you can't afford it then dont flaunt it. Why is there a need to use a fake item when you know its fake? to show off? self satisfaction? or plain losers?

If you can't afford something branded then dont use it. Simple.

well sorry to interrupt..

IF those ppl will not wear a rm200k watch for work, then don't.. just buy a TAG or something which is genuine instead buying a fake patek..

and yes, i know there are alot of ppl who owns fakes.. maybe they have the money but they just don't want to splurge on things which are not important BUT at the same time they want to show off.. so it clearly will tell u what kind of a person he/she is

well for me, i do own 2 fake stuff BUT i do tell ppl that it is fake AND i do not go around showing it off tongue.gif maybe coz i have my own principal.. i'd rather buy something lower end than buying a fake LV bag or coach bag or burberry bag AND carrying it around showing off to the public..

just my 2 cents

I like your mentality, I wish more people have the same thinking as you do.

I need to repair my Franck Muller as the knob to adjust the time/date is faulty. Is it even worth sending to anywhere in KL cause I doubt their shop in KLCC can do much other than send it off for repair. I don't even want to guess what repairing would cost.

Last time my Baume & Mercier needed a new leather strap and I had to get one from Singapore cause locally it seems most brands have only retail but no proper after sales support/servicing.

Note: I've never bought an expensive watch, didn't pay for any of my watches basically handed down entry level models.

go to bangsar shopping village, there is a shop there call swiss watch or something like that. They are expert in fixing swiss watches, me and my dad send our watches there for servicing or repairs.

hi guys, need to get some info from you guys here.

a friend of mine owe me couple of thousands and i received an used omega speedmaster as part of the repayment. i want to know how much does it worth and if it is easy to sell this off. i have not decided it's value but i was told at least RM 4k. another issue is NO BOX & NO PAPER. a watch by itself.

a quick search from the net, here is the details.

thanks guys in advance. if this is something good to keep i'll use it myself. thanks again.

its a pretty old watch and without papers the value will depreciate, keep it if u still decide to sell it u might u loose more than half of the said value. It might catch value one day if it becomes a collectors item.
