Resale value? Get a Rolex Submariner, no brainer.
Rumour that Rolex gonna announce its new ceramic Submariner during Basel fair next week. Meaning the current Submariner would retired and might fetch a higher price in future.

ya.. somehow more popular than datejust..

thinking out loud here
2008 retail prices after discount was ~rm$17
today list price ~rm$20.6k, AD giving at most 5% usually.
pre own D series (dated Jan 05-July 06) selling ~rm14.2K. darn strong resale.

anyway can adrian7386 found the non dated version at under 15k?
found this thread on current retail price. all in SGD.

If you were wearing a Patek or IWC you probably won't get asked that question (:
IMO, i think the rolex submariner is a pretty trendy watch, i doubt an ah pek would buy it.

Yeah but only the RM010 series. Check out his other series. Some of them are retailing about 200-300k USD.
Wonder who buys them other than Lewis Hamilton

Panerais.. hit the luxury fame today with a big contribution from Sylvester Stallone... heh.. prior to that they weren't significant. Personally I think COSC not that big deal, just that in terms of movement the COSC grade ones are better specified/built in terms of materials used.

Well Arnie made Audemars Piguet Sexy again in terminator!

Any Franck Muller fans around?

I used to hate FM,

But lately the more I see it, the more i'm attracted to it. But prices are ridiculous and it doesn't have much history compare to say - IWC or a Jaeger or even a Panerai blush.gif

I do apologize about my sweeping statement..  sweat.gif
different social circle.. cannot help.. my current social circle don't even recong a TAG... haha.. and they are in their 40s.
others only care about brand don't even give a hoot about manufacture only know cartier, Bvglari, Rolex.. TAG and go huh...
I also know such wealthy group of ppl.. who are blur with Panerai/PP/AP but know Rolex and TAG.
a Kid? not speaking of 5yr old or 11yr old kid.. man..

the discount for the entry level can be steep...
30% usually on those Hour Glass sales.. at times they can go for 50-60% off.
know someone got a Limited edition for like 60% off on such sales.
hehehe, thats why i say, one is better off getting a PP or AP or any other expensive watches other than a Rolex. 9/10 a robber who tries to rob you won't even bother trying to take your watch if he doesn't see the golden crown on it lol.

More so if you're wearing a bell & Ross, those things look like plastic!

Are you serious? your friend got 60% off for LE for FM? that lucky son of a b**ch. Where and when did this happen? notworthy.gif
