I read it few times in the Ball's manual...same as you, I only focus on the wording "a handling error"...
But if you read it as a sentence,
"The international warranty does not extend ...the movement by humidity entering the watch because of a handling error."
Don't you think that they're not cover only if water enter the movement?
I dropped the watch, the glass in crack and i responsible for that

However, my movement still working fine...in my expectation, they should provide free service for checking within warranty period

If they're not up to my expectation, too bad...but I heard a number of good customer service in M'sia...especially for free calibration within warranty period
