Pam is only hype for the last 10 years or so, can the trend last? That is anyone guess.
Do I like the design? Yes, but most of the models look alike.
Would I get one? Personnally I wont, I just can't justify to get a Unitas 6497/6498 (their basic line) for such a price hmm.gif

The only Rolex I'll get is Submariner no date (pre-COSC), not a cyclop guy myself. tongue.gif

Dear All Sifus....

Need your help...what's the difference or rather what is a 'swan neck' movement in the 6497/6498?

Is it better/more reliable/more accurate versus non 'swan neck'?

Any help or comment will be much appreaciated.

Thanks!!  smile.gif
*
Not a sifu. blush.gif
Swan neck is a extra device to regulate a movement, instead of normal + and - regulator. And it does look good biggrin.gif

i just receive the watch yesterday lar... besides, do u expect 20 years ago watch with limited edition will come with electronic watch...hohoho, is only available in 1000 piece worldwide...
*
Why not, quartz aleady started form that time.
One easy way to determine whether is quatz or automatic is by looking the movement of the second hand.
If the hand is ticking, that's quartz; If the hand is sweeping, most probably it is manual or automatic movement.
Do share to us some pictures of the watch rclxms.gif

if still keeping time well and no other problems, (which i suspect there wont be any since its a Ball), then RM1700 is worth....lowest end Ball now (Fireman II) also around 2.5k i think..
*
Yes it does, Fireman II now MRSP RM3,490 tongue.gif

*
Not sure about quality of their anolog, but G-Shock is one tough watch!
Casio Edifice is sponsoring Red Bull F1 Racing team, by the way.

suprisingly..my previous ball firemen...retain its value pretty well.... i have a number of
automatic watches... and after selling my firemen for the night train... realised that i like
the firemen more than night train.... And now I am aiming to get a Omega PO...
should be around RM11K after discounts....
saw the new brietling superocean at pavillion...after discount around RM7K++
*
Try to check out at The Hour Glass Lot 10, they are having sales.
Saw orange and black PO (all 42mm) discount is 25% + 10%
After discount RM8k++ Good luck thumbup.gif

Yep, its an orange PO with orange leather strap
Normal retail 11900
Rate after discount is around 9.8-10k
Selling now for 8k...

Price confirm going up April , 5%...

i love the orange bezel...but orange strap?  doh.gif  doh.gif  i dont mind but worry if i will fall out of love with it after some time...

of course, i can always get an Omega bracelet but i heard the PO bracelet is about 2k (right?) so...if i add in all....it will still be a 10k Omega PO..except i get 1 leather strap addition!  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
3 options I can think of,
1. Get after market (none Omega) leather strap
2. Get the PO with rubber strap
3. Go PS get the 'ahem' Omega bracelet brows.gif

Any Franck Muller fans around?

I used to hate FM,

But lately the more I see it, the more i'm attracted to it. But prices are ridiculous and it doesn't have much history compare to say - IWC or a Jaeger or even a Panerai  blush.gif
*
FM is the most innovative watchmaker in recent years, and he is called "Master of Complication"
If you have enough moolah, get it by all means. rclxms.gif

hi de.crystal

all these brands have nice websites.  google them and you can see all the amazing pictures....pick what you like, and then post here...maybe you'll get some quick reviews...

buy what YOU want.

Some of us here are into movements, history (since this is watch lovers forum)
Some of us here are into looks.....as long as design suits their taste, they will go for it..
Some of us here are into brand...

so while its good to hear people's opinion, buy what you want.
*
Exactly what bro nando says, go to the shop and try it out, see which one that sing to you.
People opinion doesn't matter, as long as you like the design and bring joy to you.

Why is that so? As mentioned by you, you have 3-5k to spend on watch.
You have every right to try on any products before purchase.
Even before you buy a car, you'll go and test drive right?
