I've gotten my watch last night from The Hour Glass. A Glycine combat with a 2824-2 movement. Through their website and all, I thought this was just another 2824 movement as its stated even in their specs pdf file. I was suprised when the salesman started winding my watch MANUALLY with the crown. So I asked isn't this an automatic movement as it has a rotor at the back (lol).
Turns out this 25 jewel movement is manually windable as well as being an automatic. Cool. Will upload some photos when I get hold of my camera.
IIRC All automatic movement can be manually wind. even those vintage auto watches.Turns out this 25 jewel movement is manually windable as well as being an automatic. Cool. Will upload some photos when I get hold of my camera.
automatic watches, can be bidirectional or unidirectional too.
few brands actually remove the rotor of a 2824-2 and convert it to a manual winding watch.
