the new macbook pro can load up to 8GB RAM. But currently it has some problem with 4GB RAM

do not upgrade to 10.5.6 as yet. stick to 10.5.5 to avoid the problem.

first time mac user, go for something basic. macbook white is a good machine

we have the softer keyboard silicon protector. also better dust resistance.
