I'm trying to see if the current promotion of free upgrade to 4gb RAM with ACPP is a good promo as compared to buying the RAM on my own and getting ACPP later on. rather have free computer sleeves, mice, etc etc if getting outside is cheaper

so if i upgrade on my own... say, I buy 2 pieces of 2GB RAM Kingston DDR3 1066MHz for about 250bucks each. that's already 500bucks.

I'm essentially paying only 389 for the ACPP then.

Makes the promo sound like a good deal. Only downside is that you can't keep them 1GB sticks but why would you unless u have another laptop lying around.

any others would like to share their thoughts about the current promotion?

or does buying 250bucks RAM from lowyat, and then getting the ACPP from ebay still the better choice?

I just bought a mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter, wanted to duplicate my Macbook display to Plasma TV. However I couldn't seems to get it display properly on TV, duh, can someone show some guidelines here? I tried on both Leopard and Windows7 also failed...
