Hi, I'm planning to purchase a new MB alu soon and I have been given the option to install iWork 09 for RM169. I would like to know its ease of use and is there any compatibility issues with Microsoft Office 2008?
I have done some reading in this forum and I notice most of the users are saying there are problems with alignment, border, etc when viewing files. Ideally, I would like to have iWork only without installing macOffice. Is this recommended? If I do not wish to install macOffice, is the combo of iWork and neoOffice feasible?
Thank you.

QUOTE(bonzaimy @ Feb 23 2009, 11:32 PM) yeah..finally....I just bought a macbook 13' aluminium at machine KLCC. The best thing is, they gave me a voucher RM95. I think the girls name Carmen who works there really helpful. I have a lot to explore....By da way guys, do u know how to install third party software for words and excel? I asked the price at apple machine and she said that it cost around RM1000++...damn..i was so shock like hell...please..i need those really bad but dont want to waste my money just to get the apple words and excel pogramme She must have quoted you the price for macOffice standard edition pack. I think the 'home & student' edition which retails at RM599 would suffice. As for third party software, you can try the open office for mac called neoOffice. This is the most recommended open source freeware for office by mac owners around here. May I know how much you bought it for? I'm planning to get my 1st MB too. There is a RM200 rebate for student if I purchase from Apple Online. How I wish I could have just checked out without worrying about the CC statement next month. QUOTE(Mizo @ Jun 21 2009, 12:41 AM) An original mouse from Apple Store Or resellers cost 269 so u save 150 Any difference between the mouse purchase from store and tis one?? Sometimes it could be pre-owned units from overseas which are then refurbished to become almost like new. Another reason is well, since those Mighty Mouses are assembled in Malaysia, it's not hard to figure out isn't it?

I believe the mouses are assembled here. Cheaper labour for sure. 'Designed in California, assembled in Malaysia'

Hi, I'm wondering if downloading updates from the Apple software updater will decrease HDD space? I notice my HDD space has decreased by some 0.05GB after downloading the latest iPhoto update. If this goes on for every single update (including other software updates) from now, surely my HDD space will be decreasing from time to time?
