QUOTE(victorchew @ Jan 2 2009, 12:42 AM) Wow~! If the skin really block all the purpose of ventilation. This is REALLY bad news for me.. Then already waste out the money to apply it on? Should email the skin shop ask about this matter victor, please let us know what are the replies from the cs? btw is there any difference between skin from ZAGG and bestskinever..??) QUOTE(Edoras @ Jan 2 2009, 10:28 AM) Yes, you need to let the Macbook powered off by itself (while using the Macbook) and let another 5 hours before you switch on again. It is being mention in apple support page that once reach 100%, it wont charge again (to avoid over charge).I also discovered something weird, when I use the Graphics Option: Higher Performance, my MBP is not charging fully 100%...but only stayed at 95%.... It will start charging again once it goes below 95%.. so it is not a problem. |

QUOTE(hapa @ Dec 31 2008, 03:14 PM) yep... twice after i apply the skin... screen go black, but the sound still on, hv to manually restart it... hapa,Added on December 31, 2008, 3:14 pm sorry sorry, wat i mean is act the aluminum body itself not the air ventilation hole behind mbp... the skin cover up the bottom mbp, cause the heat unable to disperse thru bottom alu... how's the heat of your mbp now..? did you remove your skin..? or just remove the bottom part..? the representative from zagg told me that it is totally safe to apply the skin and they never came across any overheating cases.. really confused here whether to apply the skin or simply ask for a refund.. (the skin hasnt arrive yet btw) |

Guys,
Just an update on invisibleShield.. finally received mine and decided to apply it.. a bit disappointed with the result.. but its my bad actually not to carefully apply it and end up with a few super thin hair and dust slip inside.. Anyway, in short, zagg offered me two 20% discount code valid till Jan, 26. I have no immediate plan to buy any zagg product. so if anyone interested to buy invisibleShield from zagg, pm me and I'd be happy to send that code out FOC. First come first serve. QUOTE(d3lia5 @ Jan 14 2009, 04:44 PM) sorry for the number 5 - it supposed to be VLC never try dreamweaver on mac, but photoshop cs4 works great.. btw, i like i use to do with my current lappy, i download the cracked all the games from torrent like.. diner dash or any.. i use adobe photoshop and dreamweaver a lot. sometimes doing codes with php. i just wanna ask can i just simply install the mysql and apache? definitely not going to use ASP.Net environment with MAC but PHP more friendly. help me on programming side, is it ok with MAC mysql can be installed no problem, and apache on mac is built-in.. hence, php is also not a biggy.. so, go ahead and bought yourself a macbook!! |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Jan 15 2009, 10:21 AM) Regarding .rar or .zip files, is there a program to view the content before extracting? stuffit will do that.. but, just like winrar, it will cost you pennies to 'legitimately' use stuffit. In Windows, I use winrar to open the .rar files and select only the file I wanted to extract and then drag & drop on my desktop. Is there such a software in Mac which is capable of doing so? This post has been edited by damos_csui: Jan 15 2009, 10:32 AM |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Feb 2 2009, 10:51 AM) damos, 8 hours depends on usage, but 6 shud be no probelm that's what I thought.. more like a marketing gimmick.. same like my mbp, states 4-5 hours, i can only do 3+ though does usage defined by how many app you run concurrently..? my mbp runs only safary, email client and vista (through parallels) with visio inside and only last merely 2 hours.. does this fall under 'heavy usage'..?? or maybe more cpu power (mine is 2.8ghz) drain the battery faster..? not that this really matters to me, just wondering. |
