Got a question, if i change my Macbook's harddrive to a larger capacity, i.e. from 120GB to 500GB, will it affect it's performance or battery life?

Thx nimrod for the Harddrive recommendation, i've gotten myself a 500GB WD. I was wondering instead of copying the whole original harddrive contents into the new one via CarbonCopy Cloner, is it better if I do a clean install of Leopard and iLife '09 in the new harddrive? My MBP is still new and i have yet to move any files into it.

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Jul 10 2009, 08:14 PM) do a clean install is better, i normally only recommend ccc if you dont posses any installation disc to certain softwares that might have been lost long time ago. Haha like my CS3 dics, what to do. Better do clean install. Thanks so much for the advice nimrod. Now to figure out how to fill up all this free space |

Finally replaced my Hdd to a WD 500GB Scorpio Blue. Very impressed. A clean install is simple and intuitive. All I have to share is that when replacing the internal hdd, a TORX screwdriver is required to remove the mount from the old hdd to the new one. its not a Hex screw but a TORX, wiki would help.
