haha basically String, rx330 got the same principle as me for getting MBP ~
Firstly "Screen" whereas is portable
Secondly better "Graphic card" Watch movie i guess smile.gif
Thirdly "Backlit keyboard (using in the dark after 12am)
Lastly is stated "PRO" biggrin.gif

Although we paying quite high price  but i think worth it, is tat so rx330 biggrin.gif

Hmm...MB + 24" Cinematic lcd? will tat be costly as well? More electric power consumption i guess smile.gif

I'm trying to decide now if I should get the MBP vs MB. You are right about the screen, the LCD on the pro displays colors excellently, better then the MB from what I've read.

The other thing is the graphics card -- GPU performance is much better then the one on the MB -- with snow leopard coming up ("Grand Central") with the ability to take advantage of multiple cores and GPUs I see the machine as future proof.

The only disadvantage is the battery and portability -- I've read it can only last for about 3+ hours? And I'm not really too sure if I want to carry around the extra weight. In fact, I would have gone with the AIR if you could upgrade it, and if it wasn't so damn expensive (for the specs you get).

The MB is a good size, but then again the graphics card isn't all that --- but pay only a couple hundred more and you get the Pro.

I am once again stuck in a dilemma.

To the above poster. My only problem with the MBA is that there is no expandability. What happens if your batter dies on you (they have limited cycles)? The only option would be bring it to a mac store.

Snow leopard (the new os) will also take advantage of the new GPUs on the laptop so it will be better to go with the pros. However, it comes with a price!

Perhaps I should just go for the 2.0 GHZ base model -- there is not much difference from the 2.4 right? And if you want to watch movies, you can always plug it into your tv/lcd

A laptop should be for portability 15" is okay, but I would prefer a smaller screen. 12" was perfect.
