QUOTE(xellesia70 @ Dec 20 2008, 07:16 PM) Hi, I just bought a Macbook alu 2.0 Ghz.So, I am new into this. Just wanna ask about the battery for Macbook. Cos when i bought it, i directly used it while it is still charging. Then, I can use it up to 5 hrs after complete charging. Now after I complete charging for the 2nd time, the battery can last about 3 hours only. I only use it for Internet browsing and listening to some music. Is this normal? Sorry for asking this kind of question. just curious. TQ My new MBP was only 2 weeks old. A fully charged only indicates a little over 2 hours only... Is this normal?

QUOTE(victorchew @ Dec 22 2008, 08:12 AM) How to do the calibration? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490QUOTE The battery calibration for the PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD) and any model of MacBook or MacBook Pro has been updated because of a new battery released with this computer. With these computers, follow these steps to calibrate your battery:
(1) Plug in the power adapter and fully charge your PowerBook's battery until the light ring or LED on the power adapter plug changes to green and the onscreen meter in the menu bar indicates that the battery is fully charged.
(2) Allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for at least two hours. You may use your computer during this time as long as the adapter is plugged in.
(3) Disconnect the power adapter with the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power. You may use your computer during this time. When your battery gets low, you will see the low battery warning dialog on the screen.
(4) Continue to keep your computer on until it goes to sleep. Save all your work and close all applications when the battery gets very low, before the computer goes to sleep.
(5) Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more. Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again. QUOTE(ff8ong @ Dec 28 2008, 01:28 AM) Open Grab, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. Open Grab Choose Capture > Screen. When the Screen Grab dialog opens, click outside that window. After using Mac for more than 1 year, only today I realized that there is a simple way to screen capture. All this while I have been using SnapNDrag application...haha.. Thanks ff80ng!!

QUOTE(cengkadad @ Dec 30 2008, 10:18 AM) SGD99 its about RM 238.. damn expensive.. USD 49.95 = RM 174 + Shipping costs can be reasonable to protect the expensive MBP..

i just can't wait for the satin one... Thus, I go and buy the clear see thru one... and that's the price. Better make sure you buy which is stated MB15AU coz some of them are meant for the old MBP... In fact most of the colored ones are meant for the old MBP...

QUOTE(rx330 @ Dec 31 2008, 10:11 AM) edoras, is there any allowance btwn the aluminium n the casing? as mine aredi have transparent film on top of my casing rm 148 is a good price compare to spore eh? where u got it? I saw a few shops selling these. At LYP Mac Studio and both at Machines Gardens and Mid Valley. But I bought at Mid Valley Machines. It seems the space between aluminium and casing is quite tight. Why the double protection? I think your invisible shield is good enough...right?

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Jan 1 2009, 06:08 AM) I've been using the MB for a week.. I should say that the thing that I love the most for the moment is the touchpad. I mean the multitouch.. for the 1st time, I would prefer the touchpad rather than an external mouse anybody else agree? Yes, I definitely agreed! Much easier to use as compared to my Wireless Mighty Mouse...

QUOTE(rip_code @ Jan 1 2009, 12:23 PM) it will not harm our alu case? afraid if the speck got knocked out so hard then will dent the body A soft case will not protect the MBP much better than the hard case...
