hey, anyone could help me solve this problem with the iphone that i'm using?
i'm using 2g iphone.
whenever other people calls me. the number won't be displayed but it would be UNKNOWN.
i don't know why. but last time when other people could call me, i could see their name :S

firmware is 1.1.4
caller ID? yeah i did...
i had no problems with with the incoming call names.
until.. now.

i had faced that problems last time... then i restore the firmware for 2.2 and it works well now in my iphone...

Yes, please install Cydia and look for CallerID Fix there.

erm, but i'm using 1.1.4.
and i'm not sure how to change the firmware to 2.2 @@

Maybe it's time to upgrade the ancient 1.1.4 firmware to the latest 2.2 firmware. There's a lot of guide at the pinned thread on how to upgrade, jailbreak and unlock. Take your time to read and understand the process before jumping into it. Then if there's anything thats not clear, just give a shout at the related thread and I can guarantee a lot of people will be helping you in your problem.

I think a lot of ppl in Malaysia are still on the old firmware and still using Installer. I met quite a few lately. ...heh..

Don't worry .. the chances of bricking your iPhone thru upgrading yourself is like 0.1% ..

No matter how screw up you did, if you have the patience, time and the proper guidelines .. you can fix it back in no time ..

Don't worry. Just go through the Pinned Threads (just the first post will do) especially the guides and you should be well equipped with the knowledge to delve further into your phone's capabilities.

After that you won't need to store your funky number with 60xxxxxxx anymore.
