Morning people.

Me too wants to put A/C filter. When I turn on the fan, got a bit smell la. Can just put in is it?
*
it helps, but not 100% now since some dust particles has ended up in your cooling coil, combined with condensed water and gone stale.

cause?
time was around 9pm when a SLK, stupid lil kancil who exit try to turn out of smart tunnel lane at jalan tun razak(sg besi bound). SLK was making a sudden lane change and came too close to my car, i had to stop....well its a gentle stop. but heavy rain and slippery road, recipe for disaster.

a 3-ton truck brake and turn hard right in an attempt to prevent collision. it almost turned turtle in the attempt, lost control, skidded and ramp up the divider. then a hilux hit the rear of that truck, and that hilux is pretty banged up. radiator puncture, broken intakes, i guess engine mounting is a goner too and strange colored liquids oozing out of the bottom of the engine compartment. the bonet can be sent to the scrap metal factory and of course broken windscreen.

Human casualties: NONE, wearing rear seat belts saved the hilux's passenger from injuries.

my rough damage assessment;

new parts needed:
rear windscreen
rear windscreen tinting
rear right lights array
rear bumper
right side doors
right side mirror

panel repair for rear fender and wheel arch

a new paint job is gonna be need for;
2 sided mirrors
all 4 doors
front left fender
rear bumper
rear fender panels on both sides

my repair cost estimate: RM8k, thank god the chassis was not distorted.

drive safe and always buckle up behind.

how ever if done by own money n workshop will definately faster n cheaper~
sorry 2 c ur damage so badly~
*
haizzz....bad luck. i got a relative dealing used cars, so he's got some friends at the workshop. so i'll pass it to him and let him handle everything

more importantly, no one needs to be brought out of the scene with an ambulance.

sweat.gif  man that's really nasty. Thank god u still in one piece. Always think positive as things happen always for a reason. I think many good things will turn to u later. No matter how careful u drive, if god already fix us with disaster, then no choice we have to encounter it. I will learn from your lesson to wear seat belt for safety reason. I never wear seat belt in my whole life. So unconformable  cry.gif

the hilux went under the lorry, if not for seat belt, the passenger and driver will be smack on the windscreen

but if SLK got drive thru smart tunnel before accident, sure will have the image in their CCTV mah
*
that SLK never drive through the tunnel, just about to enter then make a lane change at the divider. no choice had to stop, then i didn't notice the lorry hasn't completely overtaken me. i could have driven straight and risked a side mirror, i could have used gone to mcD for dinner before going home...so many what if's....

my car went side ways and hit that SLK anyway, that stupid gal came out almost crying as the lorry driver gave her a good lecture

once we get the new car, what mod has to be done to prevent the bonnet incident happening??
*
alternative 1, send to accessories shop and add a sensor/switch under the bonnet

alternative 2, send to accessories shop and install a few pieces of metal to prevent the thief from pulling the release cable.

any idea how they managed to open the front bonnet?  sweat.gif

using a metal hook, through the grill...pull hard on the bonnet release cable. should open.

bonnet sensor is cheap item....get it installed at any accessories shop.

you can opt to change some items at 15k service so it doesn't hurt so much at 20k service
