Alert to all myvi owner~ someone manage to open my bonnet , steal the air-cond fuse and unlock my car, nothing big loss but rm6 which i left inside the car....it was believe to be an attempt to steal my dear vivi !!!!
the full story should start from yesterday night, 9/4/09. i went to metro prima, kepong for steamboat with my friends, i park my car inside the proper parking lot and that street was a busy street !!! hardly to find carpark d, so there was a short distance between my car and the restaurant. when the time i collect my car after enjoying the dinner for more than 2 hours, i realise my car was unlock, but i dint care much about it cause i suspect it might be a mistake done by myself for forgetting to lock my car, and my concentration was attracted by the new decoration of my car with lovely boms from the birdy !!! then next thing i realise my air-cond was mal-function!!! dam i tot it was some natural damages....i was totally mad, but the main priority is to clean up the boms 1st since i got no any professional knowledge with car's engineering. it was midnight already after finish cleaning up, and i'm exhausted...so i decided to fix the air-cond issue on the next morning. i went to p2 SC straight away to fixed the problem since my car still under warranty. After checking by the friendly technician, i was told by him it was an attempt to unlock my car by some sort of electric shock with misusing the air-cond fuse. i was shock and ask for further info. he told me that nowadays my case was happening, averagely every single day got 1 customer experience the same case like me. he told me that those thieves manage to open our myvi's bonnet by reaching a cable through some sort of holes nearby the front right tyre, then unlock our car with special electric shock through our myvi's air-cond fuse...
Damn it, why myvi alarm system doesnt include the bonnet ??? its ridiculous man...since even kancil also have it !!! They really thought the immobilizer power enaugh to protect our lovely myvi ??? So the advise is please install an alarm system for your bonnet as well if you care your myvi....at least there are noises which able to attract certain level of attention. i believe most of you guys will curious and ask yourself is it your car when you heard the myvi's alarm right ?? the reason i said the immobilizer is useless is based on the experience...someone i know, who own a new civic just for less than a month, and being stole within 8 minutes !!! and the whole scene was recorded by the cctv...
Really need to thanks god man...my myvi is my life!!! i rely on it so much...really dont know how if i lost it -.-....thks Amen, Allah, Amitabha n Etc....

QUOTE(gkl83 @ Apr 10 2009, 11:53 AM) immobilizer is used for engine only... no for alarm leh... if the immobilizer fail to read the chip even though u can turn the car key to ON or START mode... the petrol wont pump into engine and ignite up the engine.... maybe u can duplicate a myvi car key from any shop, then use that key ignite ur engine... for sure engine wont able to start up... i know about that, but according to the recorded video about the stolen civic, the thieve use some sort of machine, and the way they use it is sort like cracking the immobilizer code and apply it on their own DIY key..... sorry for misleading info, i mention the bonnet alarm system is just for an extra protection. Cause for my case, if my car bonnet got alarm system, the alarm will activated after the thieve open my bonnet, and able to attract my attention easily since the restaurant i dine in is open air...
