Cheap. After spending few hours talking with my youngest uncle the Kastam. something about ure tubing aint right dude.. mixing 1/2inch and 1/4th??? i suppose ure going to use the coolit freezone in the loop since this is the best config. tec[1/4]??? - pump (1/2) to cpu to res (1/2) to rad (1/2) to tec (1/4) and this is the part.. how u going from 1/4th to 1/2th on the mcp655?? unless ure going to do pump [1/2] - rad [1/2] - TEC[1/4] to CPU[1/4] - RES [ 1/2] to Pump[1/2] this dude is not a good idea mixing 1/2th and 1/4th barb on the cpu block. and also having the pump before the rad. dunno just find the whole thing weird. unless u got the mcp655 mod kit.. Still in progress of setting up
Now using freezone stock pump, 1/4 only. Not using rad currently for some reason, damaged like hell due to mishandling. Gonna get new rad soon. Mind to let go ur rad? Current setup is TEC-CPU-PUMP-RES-TEC. Good temp idle 43C, stressed 74C when the freezone block is put out of casing. I think will get better if got rad. When installed inside casing, haiz... QUOTE(owikh84 @ Mar 28 2009, 02:27 PM) Still in progress of setting up eh swiftech packaging is very good. When installed inside casing, haiz... and is packaged vertically. i am pretty happy with mine.. linx at 5gb 11 rounds in the middle of the afternoon max temp is only 81C at 4.2ghz HT OFF. that 40 mins btw.. inside the casing but with the raven top removed. a lot of ppl here dont even do linx more than 800mb.. try 5gb folks.. theres a reason y i got that rad.. first was having single pass/dual pass for this setup no difference as its low flow second i wanted the res to be at the highest point.. aka no bubble.. so thats y bought the mcr220qp res. the pump makes no sound now.. ure whole setup .. is questionable.. for the freezone i would have done the exact same thing but the barbs would have bought koolance 1/4th compression or straight. make sure for the gtz u use the orings that comes with it... if not leakage. no point using the mcp655. and very trouble some because of one hardware u cannot run 1/4th tubes for the whole thing.. i would have bought the mcp655 mod kit with it or cheaper yet get the xspc pump and redo the molex cable to 3 pin so can be controlled by fan controller. |
