No offense la Mr Next, but this is where one must be an informed customer oneself.

Apple and their contracted telcos have been doing it since iPhone 2G, globally. All these rampage about conjobs is making you look.....well.....

Theres a thread for it discussing the said 'con-job'. You might wanna head over there.

Or else, you might be better off selling it in garage sales biggrin.gif

the keyword there my friend is - "for purposes of warranty replacements".

That's the definition of a refurbished unit. It is a brand new unit to all intents and purposes, but is a refurbished unit nonetheless. It's just a label.
