my gf said this blue dot thingy only applies to 32gb, hence my gf's set is a 16gb and she dont have this problem.

Anyone having 16gb that has this problem?

For those who got their ip4 in pavillion last week or last last week,

U might be a victim of dimmed display set. Please check with your friend that has an ip4, u will notice ur display is darker and dull compared to your fren's.

My gf just went to Sunway MC to compare her set that we bought in pavillion with the Sunway MC set.

According to Sunway MC reps that this problem is only for our batch. And they already refused to take responsible over this matter. They also claims warranty only render software as for hardware u can go fly kite with it..

Your picture only shows a dot of yellowish spot. Mine is WHOLE SCREEN!!  doh.gif

Please explain more in detail, yellowish or its very dim, dull and "warm" liddat.

Btw.. its not my phone we take it from another website.

I suspect our ip4 also having the same problem with u..

And maxis now refuse responsible over this.. they say its not their fault, warranty cannot claim this..

So its as good as "broad day-light robbery" and selling "DEFECT GOODS" is legal in malaysia

So much freaking prob, dah pay money to buy, need go around hunting.. some even need queue as early as 4am in the morning but buying defect items.

but maxis claiming this is not defect (for my case of dimmer display colour)
Its as good as u go buy a white car, but they gave u beige colour car..

They also tried to push responsibility to others. Ask us go Apple there fail complaint..
It was like money u make u put into ur pocket but now got problem u push it back to others..

For those common issues like dead signal etc its known issue, buyers know the risk but still go ahead to buy it.. hence there's some sort of consideration over this fact.. so u buy d u cant argue for an exchange.

However, for me and other's case is quite a rare/uncommon issue.. but maxis still refuse to do anything or take responsible.

How to justify?

The baby delivered, wohooo skin colour matches the father = woohoo

come out black coloured skin.. oh no. but the father's chinese..

The point is we cant change it if got such problem.. coz open d they claim that they cannot sell out..

Then how? test your luck~

Buying an Iphone 4 can be gambling nowadays, either you get a perfectly functioning Iphone or not.....either way

I'm not sure how severe is the yellowish screen since I don't have that problem myself, however encountered once the blue tint problem.....

I would said the blue tint problem can be very obvious if taken photos of some low fluorescene light condition with white background, what I would recommend is that either you take back for 1 to 1 exchange maxis, like what I did and the problem solved or just accept it as what it is,and you can actually reduce the problem by setting the flash on for those condition above, and make sure you on your HDR setting on.

So good luck with all of you.

my gf went sunway ask for 1 to 1 exchange.. they denied its their fault.. they even do not accept the phone for warranty claim or check.

The blue tint now they know everyone has it and they blaming it to Apple.. so they not gonna do anything unless apple has the solution. So they tell u just accept it at the moment till there's solution.

Ya.. i agree its like u going to roll an egg machine, u might open something good or something bad.. mere gambling and luck.. if this is acceptable trading then i dont know consumer's right is still there.

Matter of fact its the situation right now.

Just because they kind of monopolize the market for it, they can do what they wanna do.. even to the extend of treating "defect" goods as normal goods can forcing consumers to just "eat" it up.

Oh boy just love how people compare yellowish screen to be fair , I'll compare all three , sure the camera is a normal digital camera under low lighting conditions

Just take a look at the screen and you be the judge. if you compare my ipod touch 1G , the screen is white
Left (my iPhone 3G 16GB , yes the screen is cracked , i know) , centre - my iPod Touch 1G 32GB  and right is my iPhone 4 16GB

As for the colours , well I let you be the judge.

well.. it has nth to do with comparing the units, i just want my money spent on something that is not defect. The thing that i brought this up here @ registration/buying guide is that to alert others to try the sets with a demo b4 purchasing. Because we wont know it has defects and the only process for u to fix that problem is let Maxis claim the warranty for you which will take 2~3weeks. If your lucky after 2~3weeks the phone comes back with problem solved, but what if the problem still there? another 2~3weeks claim again?. Its so ridiculous that buy the phone for 1month but its all the time send into factory.

why compare with 3gs? take another ip4 and compare.
*
The reason why we compared 3gs is that we dont have another ip4.

The 2nd pic is two ip4s. one is ours and the other is from sunway MCs. The picture is abit blur, hard to see.
This weekend i will snap another picture comparing mine and a fren's

urgh..seems like ur ip4 so yellowish than others..

lucky i get from the curve without problem wink.gif

to get also is a torture..let alone to replace it
*
I really dont know how to tell the maxis guys that its has a problem.
They claims that its no difference. I showed pavillion Mc and they say no problem after comparing for some time, they finally realize.. but refused 1 to 1 change. We then went upstairs to EPI center to buy a casing, i also ask the staff there to compare.. some say no problem some say its yellowish and the colour is warmer.

The cashier guy from EPI said that its like that, you will never find any units that has the same colour display. He said that if you take 10 ip4 to compare, u still see 10 different colour display, and none will be 100% the same. Well, how well its true? not sure...

why la compare wif other models?? blink.gif

compare back with other iPhone4 mahh... i also planned to compare my iPhone4 with my brother's one yesterday night but forgot to do so... Next week i compare d then i'll state my result here...
*
=.= who dunno mother = female, but i dont have another ip4 around. But i went 3 places to make comparison,

1. Sunway, slight difference but noticeable that mine was more warm and yellow

2. Pavillion MC, almost the same but in the end the tech guy also agreed.

3. EPI pavillion, two sales personnel 1 say no problem its the same and 1 able to notice.

i can really conclude the sets display colour really differ, maybe slightly or abit noticeable level. if you say comparing white and old old newspaper difference, even "blind" also know its definitely wrong and defect!
