mainly thr r two types of iphones being sold in da market...

1. is an iphone which is network locked, for example if u buy it from At&T USA, u wun be able 2 use maxis, hence needing u 2 do a software unlock

2. an out of da box unlocked set, which u kal as originally unlocked, is unlike da USA model whereby u do not need to do any kind of unlocks...and can be used with any sim card...


for convenience sake, its better to get the out of da box unlocked sets...hassle free...

u can get it frm usa, but u'll need sm1 with a ssn num...

just tat if u receive TACs, then u hv no choice but to write it down then type it, or u can try copy paste...

at the moment, any type of iphone u hv can be jailbroken...

for itunes u can use ur pc n then sync ur phone
cydia, easiest way wud be thru wifi but if u say u dun hv, then thr is cyder

if u r on prepaid, u can opt for daily 3g usage
but so far cyder looks just wat u need
i din spend much time looking for the latest version but here's da link for wat i cud find..

u have mainly to option
1. use the maps app with ur data plan n navigate w/o voice navigation
2. purchase full navigation apps frm app store ie: tomtom MY, sygic MY, papago etc..---these apps wud work fine without using data

and also, while using any of this service, make sure ur location services is on
settings>general>location services ON
