NZ set..if u haf any frens/family there..NZ979. or singapore..dats d most nearest alternative. or u can buy O2 UK set for 1.9k but its locked. many options. the best at d moment is sing set coz waranty is considered ok as its jus a 4hr drive compared to NZ. if u haf cash, stick wit maxis.

from wat u described, i can oni come up wit this a) uve been conned into buyin a locked set. b)ur iphone is faulty. u need to check d serial number of ur iphone with d website in apple/iphone to confirm its region. then try puttin in a maxis simcard to check if its workin. and yea, maxis iphone is unlocked n can be used by any simcard. so go d stuff i meantioned 1st n den come back to check. or alternatively, do check d pinned thread. it helps @ Davidgary - thx for d advice, eventhough i find it much easier to just type out the solution spontaneously will redirect dem nxt time. QUOTE(poex @ Sep 1 2010, 09:08 PM) @yezhacolic Just curious why some people change to US itunes account instead of current account that they have (eg: msia acc). Is there any special apps that can be download/purchase there which dont have in malaysia/other countries acc?? some apps are only available from other country itunes. some apps may even be released late in msia itunes. as u can see, apple releases apps based on countries.

QUOTE(defectivelasagna @ Sep 6 2010, 11:22 PM) will the official iphone 4 here by maxis be cheaper than unlocked version from singapore? there's a user selling for rm2450 16GB, tempted to buy one hmm almost 99% guaranteed msia ip4 will be more expensive compared to our counterpart across the border. thats a known fact. Singapores ip4 one of the cheapest in the world.
