one noob question here.

1. does it means that i don't need to worry abt buying a locked iphone 2G because most iphone 2G are already unlocked? but there will still be a possibilities a locked iphone 2G out there right?

2. WHAT IF, i buy an unlocked iphone 2G with older os. will it be locked after i update to 3.0 os like most iphone 3G?

3. correct me if im wrong. maxis iphones are the only official unlocked iphones in malaysia, right? so, does it means that if i buy from maxis can use the iphone right away? no need jailbreaking n unlocking?

iphone 2G doesn't hv GPS chip in it. is there any 3rd party software/app for GPS without having me to pay anything? no right? or is there any?
