Hey. I'm new here and I'm not sure whether it's the right place to ask but, is the iPhone 3Gs worth buying than the 3G version?

I'm currently eye-ing on getting an iPhone, trying to find a shop to buy it. Around KL and PJ. Not going to get it from Maxis due to family disagreeing about it.

But I'm still insist of getting an iPhone.

Just trying to find a shop to buy it and it must be cheaper than Maxis. And it must be unlocked too? I don't know anything about all these but I just want to get the phone and use it coz I'm a strong social-networking person plus, it's better to get an iPhone than an iPod touch coz it's like 2 in 1 kinda thingy if you get me.
