QUOTE(rthj @ May 8 2009, 07:50 PM) thanks for the responses. is there a general list of which countries where applecare is available for iphone? does one have to go to individual apple sites to check if this is available? e.g. iphone purchased in singapore and using it in France. assuming applecare is available in France, is it possible to get it for the iphone? you are quite stubborn eh? you still insist on it despite being reaffirmed by xaw5126 (who works for an apple premium reseller in malaysia) QUOTE # Can I get my iPhone serviced outside the country of purchase? No, service for eligible repairs is only available in the country where your iPhone was originally purchased. QUOTE d. This Plan is offered and valid only in the United States of America. This Plan is not offered to persons who have not reached the age of majority. This Plan may not be available in all states, and is not available where prohibited by law. link 1 and link 2

QUOTE(kuanming86 @ May 29 2009, 02:58 PM) hey guyz one question here. based on the official website of apple, it stated that there is a dock connector including inside the box, but i just bought the maxis iphone 8gb but there is no such thing inside. does anyone facing the same issue ?thanks a lot the Dock Connector is essentially your USB cable, put in layman terms. the USB Power Adapter is the one plugged to your mains electrical source. the Apple iPhone 3G Dock is a separate accessory and therefore needs to be purchased.

What is the price for 2nd hand iphone? My dad is in SS 2 PJ. find approximately 10-15 maxis bound iPhones with the similar condition as yours from the garage sale section. get the average and that is your price. this just came in!
apparently '3' australia is gonna be a carrier for the iPhone 3G S well!
hence that will make the total number of carriers in australia to FIVE! (telstra, vodafone, virgin, optus and possibly '3')
it will be a fierce competition i reckon Added on June 18, 2009, 2:14 pmhttp://www.cnet.com.au/3-mobile-customers-finally-get-iphone-339297013.htm This post has been edited by nokia2003: Jun 18 2009, 02:14 PM

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jul 2 2009, 09:45 PM) Continue with your current prepaid and if you can, get the unlimited data package that is not tied to the iPhone plans. That way, even when your data usage went overboard, you won't get slapped with thousand-RM bill. Of course, this is if your budget allows. not sure, how the system has changed since i left the country. but back home, most of the prepaid providers come with the conventional SIM card and rarely 3G equipped. hence, make sure you patronise a local provider store near you and upgrade the card. iPhones run most satisfactorily under the 3G network.

QUOTE(tootmirlight @ Aug 2 2009, 08:33 PM) should i activate my iphone locally or can i activate that anywhere? in case i want to sell some unlocked iphone in germany. disclaimer: it is up to you, with regards to, accessing this scenario of mine. recently i helped purchased officially unlocked units from australia for a few of the forummers here, and they came wrapped in their original packaging.
they unwrapped and activated their respective units with their malaysian SIM card themselves.

QUOTE(cottonkandy @ Aug 16 2009, 04:13 PM) cause i wanna use prepaid. Rm100 is way more than my monthly prepaid usage. i've been repeating the question again and again. i just wanna know, anyone know where can i get officially unlocked singtel units here in msia or in singapore? that's because you are not reading despite being told all over again? if you read that link provided by teikwing, maxis is actually selling outright, unlocked iPhone 3G 8GB for RM1990. hence if you opt for that, no one will give a tiny rat arse if you are on using more than RM100 per month or prepaid. Added on August 16, 2009, 4:30 pmSingTel units are only obtainable via contracts and hence it will technically be a second hand unit (as you have demanded above) and by the time, the contract starts running, so has the warranty period. only maxis and NOT SingTel that sells outright units. QUOTE(c.o.o.l @ Aug 16 2009, 08:15 PM) I just went to an Apple authorized store. They tell me that I cannot purchase the iPhone with only hotlink user. They tell me that they now only sell with maxis user. Is this true? at the moment, it appears so, as demand grossly exceeds supply. for obvious reasons, maxis will stand to reap more profit from contracts as opposed to prepaid.
