the Dock Connector is essentially your USB cable, put in layman terms.

the USB Power Adapter is the one plugged to your mains electrical source.

the Apple iPhone 3G Dock is a separate accessory and therefore needs to be purchased.

find approximately 10-15 maxis bound iPhones with the similar condition as yours from the garage sale section. get the average and that is your price.

this just came in!

apparently '3' australia is gonna be a carrier for the iPhone 3G S well!

hence that will make the total number of carriers in australia to FIVE! (telstra, vodafone, virgin, optus and possibly '3')

it will be a fierce competition i reckon

not sure, how the system has changed since i left the country.

but back home, most of the prepaid providers come with the conventional SIM card and rarely 3G equipped. hence, make sure you patronise a local provider store near you and upgrade the card.

iPhones run most satisfactorily under the 3G network.

if you read that link provided by teikwing, maxis is actually selling outright, unlocked iPhone 3G 8GB for RM1990.

hence if you opt for that, no one will give a tiny rat arse if you are on using more than RM100 per month or prepaid.

only maxis and NOT SingTel that sells outright units.

at the moment, it appears so, as demand grossly exceeds supply.

for obvious reasons, maxis will stand to reap more profit from contracts as opposed to prepaid.
