QUOTE(ELM0 @ Apr 13 2009, 09:06 AM) yup its lock, if need unlock need at least 120bucks or need buy some credit value of 120bucks to unlock what you guys think if u want to make it easy.... just buy the AUD120 prepaid with unlock, if u want to do it the hard way, u can always buy the lock ones and then unlock it using yellowsn0w or using sim adapter... but as u know, this method of unlocking is on ur own risk.... btw the currency for AUD to RM is now AUD1 = RM2.5 so u do the math ok?

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 20 2009, 11:18 PM) @grunge, If it's going to be the same price as getting an official Malaysian set with warranty, Y bother bringing it back, right? what i think is, its better to buy in malaysia since u got the 1. the most important... the local warranty 2. the free 500mb (if u register to prepaid) 3. hassle free and the price is really darn cheap..... i mean u cant go wrong with that....

QUOTE(gamenoob @ Sep 7 2009, 05:41 PM) At the rate Maxis offer the phone with call plan, its almost no brainer of buying a jailbreak, grey import, or used. This is more so for folks considering any mid-high end touch screen phone which cost easily 1.3k onward to 2+k.... With only 12 months plan at Ivalue 2 of RM155 permonth, its only 1790 or 1290 for 24 months. If you are heavy phone user, even better. Go for Ivalue 3 and get it cheaper for iphone. And getting Iphone without data plan is a suicide plan! Iphone by design is data intensive gadgets which is why all coutries selling them with data plan. Even the lowly ivalue 1 from Maxis come with 500mb worth of data... which is about 13-14mb daily or 1gb for ivalue 2 which come with 80 dollar worth of call and 12cents per min. If you buy own iphone, you need to subsribe P80 and RM58 data plan for 500mb. That is already 138 vs 155 where you get a subsidized iphone for 1290 or 1790. If you can get Australia unlock unit at less than 1.8k for 16gb, then its worth the effort given the out lay is the same with no commitment. Otherwise just take 12 month plan. How often you change your mobile carrier anyway.... not really a suicide if u dont have data plan, u just have to know the right button to switch off... i've been using without data plan (since i bought it outright) using my prepaid.... all good... even sometimes my friends or myself tend to accidentally push internet-using-apps, but still... ive made it....

QUOTE(master-kornholio @ Jan 28 2010, 04:05 AM) Hi just wanted some feedback from current iphone users. Is it worth to buy and iphone 2g 8gb for RM450 now in 2010? My friend is offering to sell it to me. considering I will not be using the 3G internet function on it. Mostly using it for call function plus it looks cool. As the 3g internet it is not important to me. kindda cheap really... if it comes with everything u should just take it....

QUOTE(fuze @ Jul 9 2010, 10:05 AM) Hello guys. I don't know whether this is appropriate to be asked here or not. Just try my luck. I have a question. Considering how expensive those traders selling the iPhone 4, I was thinking of bringing it in using vPost. How reliable vPost is if there's anyone ever use it? Will they charge any tax to me? I don't have any friends in UK who can bring it back. And I can't wait any longer because while the cash is still with me, I'm afraid that the lingering satan will poison me to spend my money. how do u intend to buy the iphone 4 at the 1st place then? as i recalled they only post the phone according to UK valid address only. surfing info for vpost right now...
